You have to be full of energy, you will almost always be moving. You must be willing to clean up after dogs, and act as if they are your own dogs for the time they are there, looking out for their every need. You must prepared to come into contact with some dogs that will test your patience, and even be ready to intervene in the occasional dog fight. You must provide a safe, playful environment for every dog no matter what.

If you love animals and dogs in particular and want what's best for the dog, and would love to see the dogs get adopted, then you would love this job. You would have to have a cold or stone heart to not want to help these dogs.

I about nine months ago I lost my Jack Russell who was dropped off at my front door the day after Christmas by a gentleman who asked me to watch it for two days until he could find somebody to take care of it. Well, two days ended up being five years. The best five years of my life. Unfortunately he passed away so I got me another one because the other dog told me I needed to fill the void in my life that he gave me. And I did! This dog was abused so bad and now he has a home he can call home filled with love. I've changed this dogs life. And now I am reaching out to anyone in the Canton, Ohio area to help out the Stark County Dog Pound or Stark County Humane Society. They are over crowded and said on national TV that if they can't find home for these dogs they will have to be put to sleep. I am asking anyone who can help please help. My heart is breaking. I have asked them to possibly waive the adoption fee so these dogs can be adopted. If you can help, much appreciated and thank you and God Bless. Keith Gulling

One of the best things I learned while working for Mr. Warren was taught to me by his bird, Cookie. I have always been a little cautious when it came to birds. At first she could sense my fear and went and got one of her toys, brought it to me and dropped it in my lap. She would sleep on my chest at night while his adorable dog, Kayka would snuggled up in bed beside us.

I have been grooming dogs for close to 24 years now, I have worked in 2 groom shops and also been self employed. I haven't worked for quite some time do to the fact I have had knee surgeries, but I am now better and would like a chance to show people how beautiful I can make their dogs.
