I was doing a long haul a couple days ago and had my dog Purdy with me. I love my little girl!! Not even 10 miles out DOT pulls me over. They tell me she can’t have her head out the window and that he is going to write me a ticket!!! I start to freak out, but as he is about to write the ticket Purdy starts to cry and puts her paw up in the air and kind of waves at him like she is saying hi over and over. He asks me if I taught her that. I said I didn’t. He smiles and tells me I can go with a warning. Unbelievable!

I started my new job this week. Everything seems to be going well and I’m really excited about the potential of this job opportunity. For the first couple of days there has been a ton of information that I have to learn quickly to get ready for my first face to face meeting.
The job required me to travel about every other week from July-Oct. I’m okay with that however my dog may not be. He’s highly attached and gets separation anxiety when I board him at Petsmart. I will most likely be traveling on Tuesday and returning on Friday, I’m considering a service like Wag to walk him twice a day in an environment that he’s familiar with. The down side of that is for 3 day he’s going to be by himself for majority of the day. I’ve done something similar before and he did okay. If I do decide to go that route, I will have an automatic timer on the TV and keep an use night lights in his favor spots. I may also keep a low wattage light on so it’s not dark over night. A friend has also offer to check in on him later in the evening when he gets off. I haven’t decided yet which direction I’m going to take. I just want my lil 8 year old pooch to be comfortable. Btw, he also uses the balcony if I’m gone too long by use of a dog patio door insert.
Please let me know what direction you would take if you were in a similar situation.

Seven months ago I talked to my administrator about bringing my new puppy to work with me since other employees also bring there's. He said it was alright as long as he says back of the building where the break room is. Went good for a couple weeks when he decided he didnt want the dog to be there and put the puppy in another room without me knowing. Where there was no electricity heat or a.c. the maintenance man agreed and got permission from the administrator that it was ok for pup to be in his office in the basement. No prob. Until last week administrator said I couldnt dog with me anymore. Even with all shots up to date. Almost potty trained. The only time the dog is out of that office is to take him out to the bathroom. My dog is the only one that cant be in the building. I don't know if this is a personal thing that admin got against me or what.
Go to indeed.
