I went back to school last year for pharmacy technician. My schooling was fully completed November of 2017. I have been applying for pharmacy technician positions but always get an email with saying not enough experience and they have other candidates with more experience. I have not given up on this career and get it will take time but time and time again getting the denial emails does get discouraging but I keep pushing on and apply for other jobs until my technician position comes through.

I have been a Pharmacist for 34 years. I recently was terminated because they said I failed by performance improvement program. This was a witch hunt by a company to get rid of an older worker. I fulfilled by job requirements and always have. I had a new supervisor who was brought in as a head hunter. She was firing Pharmacist left and right and bringing in younger Pharmacist from her former company. All I can say is laugh now, I will laugh later, all the way to the bank!

I was all for working at Anazao. At the end of it all I became very dissapointed. They used to be a very good company to work for- aftrr they got bought out their attitude went corporate and the way they treated their employees went out the door. I switched departments - when I inquired about pay differential I was given the run around... I was told that I should be happy Im getting paid what I was and accused that my whole motivation for switching departments was motivated by money. Department Pharmacist is on an English only crusade - he has singled out the Spanish speaking employees and has basically mandated that they are only to speak English when they are working. He has told one employee that she was distracting and instructed her to not tallk to anyone. If you make ANY mistake they call you in and bring out the video feeds!

I have been a Pharmacy Director for over 35 years. I got a new boss and he wanted to replace me with his choice of director. The Pharmacy was run very well and was given a very good review by The Joint Commision and DNV.

I have been a Pharmacist for 30 years now. My company I worked for went out of business in 2015 and I can’t find steady employment. I feel like a failure. I know I am a good pharmacist but I have had a bad couple of years. I keep applying to positions and I get Little to no response. I have been called for like 3 interviews. I got a job with a temp agency and well they have little to no jobs I am qualified to do. What other jobs can I do with my RPH degree. I am desperate. I have to pay bills and have a family to support. I don’t want to lose everything. I am sort of at my wits end.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm in the process of taking my pharmacy tech exam to get a job in the hospital. Is there anyone in Brooklyn who is a certified Pharmacy tech who can be able to do a group study? I really want to pass my exam and start my career in the hospital. Any help is greatly appreciated. God bless.

At the time I was employed there, BCH had the only pharmacy tech training program in San antonio. We went in with no experience and learned from the ground up in every possible situation. We techs were expected to exhibit professional behavior while on duty. We laughed w/ our fellow techs but any joking was not allowed w/ our bosses. They said, if you are kidding around, you are not working. If you are not working, you don't need to be here. Fortunately for me, the job was excellent training for being a pharmacy tech as a career. I transferred to another tech job and this training helped me to excel in any work situation. I was very proud of being a pharmacy tech and how hard I worked to be one of the best and I worked to continue that attitude whatever job duties came up over my 40+ years. I received excellent evaluations from my future boss at ALM every year and was told they fully appreciated my work ethic.
