I have horrible back problems and no experience in any fields other than manual labor and fast food being only 21 years old. My wife and I had been trying to start our own family for a few months with no results. Everything looked so horrible especially when I lost my job last month and she wasn’t working. She finally got a job in the field she had gone to college for and I was so happy for her but still felt incomplete because I couldn’t find a job of my own that didn’t make my arthritis and chronic back pain unbearable. On top of that for some reason we just couldn’t conceive and it was taking a huge mental toll on the both of us. But as of this week we have found out that she is 5 weeks pregnant and I got a call for a desk job at Arkansas State University on the same day. It’s like all my prayers have finally been answered❤️

All my working life I have always been promoted to a trainer. I have always been on the "Go to" list for questions. But since I returned from my Maturnity leave at my current job, I have found out I am no longer a trainer, and I dont have the permissions to do other process paths like I used to. I have to be retrained, and the company has raised the rate goals. Which I am struggling to make. I feel like I am just another head in a head count.

Hey guys. So I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I'm having difficulty looking for a job. I don't really have any qualifications for anything so I need something that has few to no requirements. I live in Ocala Florida and was wondering if anyone knew of anyone who is hiring in my area. Preferably not retail or food. All help is appreciated. Thank you.

I lost my job due to mass layoffs at about 5 months pregnant and have been searching/applying/interviewing like mad. Now I’m about 8 months and super visibly pregnant. I’m so worried about having a baby without a job and delaying my job search even further. Any advice? Anyone been here before?

The last time I was job hunting I was 6-months pregnant, needless to say nobody hired me. So I have been self employed, unsuccessfully, for over a year and in the process absolutely wrecked my credit. I am actually just about to file bankruptcy. So I decided to go back to corporate America. My background is in finance, and even though the position I got offered doesnt involve me dealing with finances, a lot of finance companies still check your credit status during the background check. So for a week I was terrified that they would rescind the offer. I ended up getting an email that said my background check came back clear and I was ready to get started. I was SO relieved! So for everybody out there who is doubting, just manifest what you want to happen and believe you deserve it, and good things will happen.

I had a job interview last week Wednesday and everything was great. They took me on tour and everything. But when all was said and done I was asked if I was expecting. I did confirm my pregnancy and the started telling about their great maturity program for their workers. I ask them if they deny people jobs because of pregnancy and of course they give me the it will be illegal story. But yeah I got turned down a job because I'm pregnant and the sad thing is it is a hard thing to prove.

I was working as a pharmacy technician for about 5 years and last year I had my daughter and my job fired me because they said they didn’t get all the required documentation they needed for my maternity leave but the whole time I was out they where paying me because I was on maternity leave. This is the second time they have done something like this to me and when go to file for unemployment then they want to try and give me my job back not this time I am completely done with them. I have 8 kids and me and my fiancé wanted to get a home for us but now thats a dud because I lost my job. So it’s a struggle but we have support and hopefully something comes along and we can finally give our kids the home they deserve and the home I never had.

2 interviews into my search and I was hired! It's all about showcasing your best self in your resume and first impressions. I shared my story and was honest about my struggles and even disclosed my pregnancy during my interview and my story inspired my interviewer and got me the job. I am a ovarian and cervical cancer survivor and a domestic violence survivor. Also I had really bad sunburn from riding my bike 26 miles the day prior to my interview because my truck broke down and life continued. Rode the bus for almost 2 hours and walked a mile and was still 10 mins early for my interview. This showed my dedication and drive which I believe played a role in my being hired. Plus it's the perfect job for me I'm so excited! If your struggling in your job search have faith and keep trying. Be yourself because there's only one you out there and the perfect opportunity may be just around the corner.
