I stay because they pay good as selector and the people are good in my warehouse but, I been Applying 4 other position like two years ago and they don't care with my back pain. and they don't give me the opportunity to learn more about the company.

Always keep a check on your health. Keep a small piece of wood in your pocket for carts. Always ask customers about how the service was and how you could improve on areas. Always pray for safety when gathering carts during a storm.

Never going to the doctor when I was ill. It interfered with future problems and I could not get help from Publix.

When my pay was increased and the hours were decreased. I could never get the opportunity to earn more pay.

I have been confronted with the hands on their cart. Many get offended by it. So I tried to stay next to the cart and not touch it. Then it was a pleasure to help them out. The customers were more likely to let you help them out.

I loved the customers. I really appreciate the feedback from them to improve on my service for them. Many still recognize me in a store today and ask if I worked for Publix. They remember me for my service. They still say there is never a better bagger than you.

If you can survive the politics, its a great place to work. But your pay and promotion is based off of other peoples perception not always by what u actually do.
