I've manager 4 different footlocker, 4 finisline 1 Ann Taylor and 3 Taco bells. I love the filling of satisfied customers through excellent customer

The parts we handle aren't metal and heavy like I have found out at other tmmi spinoffs. I loved this job and I know I can do the work.

Every day I check my email and see emails stating “We appreciate your interest but are passing...” or “Thank you for applying...we will not be moving forward...” - even more disappointing is when I actually interview (in person, Phone, video), sometimes more than once - and they seem like they went well...a few I honestly felt I was about to receive an offer right then..the conversation is smooth, without any long pauses and it’s left with a feeling of positivity like “everything sounds great..” or “your skill set and answers were impressive..” or even “based on your personality and expertise you’d be a great fit with the team or company”. Then either I don’t get a call back, or receive a call or an email saying - basically “thanks but no thanks”. I take notes about the position prior to interviewing and align what they are looking for to my experience, do research on the company and even the person/people I will be interviewing with plus follow up via email or phone right away and a few days later...but it seems it doesn’t matter. From the moment I wake up I have voicemails and missed calls regarding my resume. I call back and we chat about the position and my experience as it relates..everything sounds great..then nothing. I don’t know if it’s just me or that I have 20 years experience but no college degree or what is going on. I’ve never been out of work this long. I started on my career path as a FTE at a company where I learned a lot and progressed quickly. From being just an Admin in a QA area to assisting the team with test execution to supporting both roles and responsibilities full time until being given the title of Bus System User Specialist - just within 6 months - leasing my own team after 8 mos and just short of a year was a Project Manager. Unfortunately after 3 years was let go with a handful of others due to budget issues. I became a contractor from then til 5 years ago. I worked for various companies that used technologies, processes, etc that I wasn’t familiar with, but did not want to make a bad impression so I took it upon myself prior to onboarding as well as during my contract to take it upon myself and learn whatever it was I needed to know because I was expected to “hit the ground running” so I made sure I did just that. I have attended some college courses that were related to my career but did not receive a degree. I just do not understand what I am doing wrong...

I'm relatively new to this site, so guidance would be helpful. I have been in all aspects of nursing for 20+ years. I want to change what I do. How do I get employers to give me a chance to show what I can do? I am so much more than nursing.

Jobs are always asking for experience... What if you have none yet you have more of a desire to work and learn than those with experience. How do you tell a potential employer to take a chance on you ?

Needing advice on how to get jobs in similar trades based on the limited training I recently received in plumbing trade , and direct me to any union provided apprenticeship programs, plse and thnk you.

So I'm in urgent need of a job with the minimum acceptable wage being $15 an hour. That will allow me to pay all my bills and live. The problem is that I have been drifting around trying to find a place I fit for the last eight years. I've gone back to school to try and make myself more marketable but it seems that my attempts at raising my value have been for not. I have a degree in business, honorable discharge from the Marines and various experience from a range of jobs. I'm currently working on degree in communications but, with a spotty employment history, it seems I've shot myself in the foot. Any advice or leads would be great.

I worked in the kitchen help ,I Made Light Bulbs, Clean offices ,A Cook at Eagles Club ,

I understand where you're coming from. I am a recently retired (Medically) veteran from the Army of 36 years and 3 months. I retired March 2018. My last duty station was in Hawaii, Tripler Army Medical Center. I was an OR nurse (still is) and worked in the OR at the same facility for 4 years. I have a total of 14 years of OR experience, 2 years of ambulatory surgery and many years of Medical/Surgical Nursing. I even applied to USA Jobs for Ambulatory and OR and was told I did not qualify or someone else was chosen over me!! So yes, What's going on?!! I don't understand that at all. I have even applied to surrounding hospitals and health care organizations in Honolulu, I have had interviews but was never chosen and sometimes, like you, no one ever called or emailed me to say hey, we chose someone else over you. Its really a terrible feeling, not being able to find a job as a NURSE for GODS sake and with years of experience and a veteran at that!!! And I have my Masters in Nursing too!! It sometimes feels like an insult!!! Hopefully some one will interview and hire me for a job because I really need one right about now. Don't give up and good luck to you!
