Hello fellow jobseekers. I am really telling a little story and wondering "what would you do?" A few nights ago I suddenly remembered that I need a few groceries for the next day so I found myself at the grocery store @10pm. I pick up the few things I needed and headed to the checkout. The young lady working informed me that only the self checkouts were open. Okay, no big deal as I probably would have used them anyway. As I am juggling purse, keys, wallet/phone, groceries, I drop my wallet/phone and all the cards I keep in the case just fell out and around my feet on the floor. This young lady didn't even move or bat an eye. Now I realize it's self checkout and stuff on the floor was personal items (debit card, business cards, medical cards for myself and children) but nothing in all my years of customer service would have prevented me from moving towards the customer and at least offering to help. What do you guys think??

Hiring managers asking what I made or "what was my W-2 like the previous year" caught me a little off guard. The last time I went through interviews was 3 years ago and that is not how pay was addressed then. Please share your thoughts and experiences. Do you share your actual numbers, do you give them the amount you want to make, can they even verify tax information, can employers ask for tax documents? Thanks.

I receive phone calls where my information has come across someone's desk...insurance companies. I hear the following on my voice mail: We have a marvelous opportunity that I believe you may be interested in...As many voicemails that I have received, I know how to "weed" them out. I see that these jobs are popular to post but are not popular to fill. Why is it that insurance reps are the first to call and alway offer commission based jobs? #question #commissionbasedjobs
