The Cosmetology school where I was Academic Director was sold to an ethnic woman. She put it all over the web that it was the only school in the city that was owned and operated by her race. I had an 84 mile commute every day. She hired 3 new Instructors of her race, and gave them 26-30 hours a week, and cut me back to 3 1/2 hours a day 3 days a week. I believe her plan was to tap my brain and fire me. I wasn't going to be a fool and give her that satisfaction. I talked to my supervisor from the school the other day and she said none of the requirements they should be doing for the Dept. Of Education or the Accreditation agencies have been followed since I left, and no one knows how to follow the set procedures. I couldn't draw unemployment because I didn't try to negotiate with her before I quit, but I don't regret it for a minute.

Hi, how do you go about explaining to a potential employer that you quit. I gave a two week notice and then had words with my supervisor and quit.

I'm also trying to transition to a new field which is making things double difficult
