The jobs on zip recruters tells you that your resume was relieved and someone from zip recruters and a manager from the posted position will get back to me if they're interested. Then within a week I get a e mail saying since I haven't heard from this position here are some other positions that I may be interested in. Is this something kind of scam ?

I got a call from a job recruiter about a week ago, they informed me a local business was hiring up for the summer and all positions and shifts were open.
I was supposed to get a e-mail last Friday, which I would need to digitally sign for a background check, and on Monday I was supposed to go in for a drug test.
I was told to expect to be working by the 8th.
Instead the whole weekend went by, no e-mail. I tried calling back several times and all I ever got was their voicemail and was informed they reached their capacity for messages.
I've given up on the idea of working for that opening, but it really annoys me job recruiters don't at least inform someone they won't be getting the job.

I applied for a position and was called by the recruiter of the company. I thought we really hit it off and she told me that out of 150 applicants I had been rated by the hiring team as having the best resume and most industry experience. I had mentioned that I had bern considering chsnging to a different industry. She then said, "no, we're not going to let you do that", She then scheduled a phone interview with the hiring manager for top 5 applicants and she would choose for 3 to come in and interview with 4 different people. I had the phone interview and was called back for the face to face interview. I got to choose when I wanted to come in of the available times because I was "still # 1. I chose the fitst appt. I thought I had great interviews. They all went over the allotted times. I sent a thsnk you note to all. I didn't get the job. I asked for feedback so that I could hopefully improve. The recruiter said she hadn't gotten feedback but that she would and get back to me. She never has. I feel kind of mistreated. Like I was ahead through the 3rd quarter and then git blindsided. Any advice or opinions?

I don't know if employers have released their collective breath since the election, but I am really seeing an up-tick in open positions that match my skill set. I see them on CL.com, other job web sites, etc. I've been applying to a lot of new opportunities and the phone is starting to ring. A lot. I hope everyone else is noticing the same.

I APPLIED TO A JOB ONLINE VIA LINKEDIN, SNAGAJOB, ETC. I GOT A CALL FROM A RECRUITER FOR POSITION IN MAINTENANCE AT A HOTEL. I THOUGHT IT WAS ODD TO MEET FOR INTERVIEW AT A STARBUCKS ON A SUNDAY. THEY ASSURED ME I WAS THE CANDIDATE FOR THE JOB AND WANTED TO FILL THE POSITION SINCE LAST WEEK. I GOT A CALL LATER THAT EVENING FROM THE RECRUITER TO INTERVIEW WITH THE OWNERS OF THE HOTEL ON MONDAY AT 10AM. I SHOWED UP BUT THEY DIDN'T. I INTERVIEWED WITH THE GM WHICH SHE WAS UNAWARE OF ME MEETING THE OWNERS. I REPORTED THIS TO THE RECRUITER BUT HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM THEM WHEN I TEXT OR CALL. SMH!

I have secured another quality interview by going around the recruiting firm and making contact with the responsible manager on my own! I knew that there is a problem of what's called "The Law of "Diminishing Returns" with all these firms and their Technology? We applicants are getting lost in the process! ..........Going Old School is paying off! Stay with me team, and I will be glad to teach a session on how to do it. How I did it anyway

Wow, I was receiving messages from "Job Case" and I originally thought this was a company hiring people! I must say I am familiar with some of the fake jobs if I may say, and recruiters that were a total waste of time. I found in today's job market it's very fierce and you can sometimes find yourself on the chopping block. I know that there are recruiters out there that have gave my name & resume a drag through the mud! "WHY" because they can. But then, there's the fact that we do sometimes became desperate to work that we don't take the time to recognize what's truly worth the time, hump, and pay. Desperation majority of the TIME adds to the stress of being desperate. If you know that you left a job in a bad way expect turmoil from that company 1% chance of not being (BB). From my personal experience and facts there has been times when I'm preparing to go on a interview and get a call where they have changed their minds, and won't provide you with a reason why. But know it may be because there's a red flag by your name to recruiters saying (HR) high risk, and not human resource (potential. There maybe the issue of having a criminal record, bad credit, or too many parking tickets. There's even the political view of things (Lawsuits) yeah if you're suing the government or any part of it. Leave out applying for a job anytime soon. This would normally piss them off to where they might want to ruin your life. Remember I said facts I'm not here for assumptions & allegations with accusations. There are many things you can do around this! Work around it! Change your accounts every month, passwords too! Change your resume every month. There are different ways you can re-introduce your self. Change your contact numbers for employers. Use a different address when applying for job, not just any address but where you can be reached. It's real especially if you're suffering these facts for a 6-12 months duration. Success is not easy and our burdens are our greatest allies (Destiny) Go get it! Fight Back & stop complaining it only ignites the enemy in your suffering & struggles. Get-up every day and do something productive towards your future just don't complain because it gives joy to the opposition of your wants & needs. Now, let me leave you with this: if and when a job comes through to you and you have to travel 1st make sure it's not a waste of your time, 2nd don't waste their time even if they are getting most of the commission, and last doing something out of desperation is only going to make you quite faster than you got hired! Big eye opener here "LOOK" for job fairs they're not a waste of time as they don't have time to waste. Their looking for good people. Know when to apply yourself. If you know something is hindering you, take care of your distractions first. Be ready to apply yourself fulltime at whatever it is you're going after, if you don't the next person will. Make sacrifices nothing is free. Never pay to get hired NEVER! If you live by faith pray for that job!!!! If you're looking to "Job Hop" you're not ready take some more time to think things through! Things you don't do in the job hunt: don't complain, don't get distracted, and don't ever talk bad about any company, bitterness does not get us hired! Apply to 1000 jobs, 40 will reply, 10 will be interested, 3 will lead to interviews, 1 will take you through hell to hire you, and then they won't! What does this means: quit, no hit it again, but this time hit it (HARDER). The world needs, never give up type of people! Not people that's going to complain. Make an offering in the form of your complaints & give them to a HIGHER POWER! It's that 1job out there that the opposition doesn't want you to have & their going to do everything in their power to keep you from getting even close to it! Humble yourself, ask yourself what are you doing wrong, or even who can be (BBing) me? IT DOESN'T MATTER! LITERALLY! Re-Introduce yourself to the world & go get it! NEVER GIVE -UP or THEY WIN!

I've been looking for a job as an administrative assistant in Chicago. I went to seven recruiters and they all said my resume was excellent and I had great experience. They all said they'd share my resume with their colleagues and let me know what was available for me to interview. None of them called me back! Not a single one! And when I call them I get voice mail and they never return my calls. WTF is going on? Do they get commission for applicants walking through the door? They must not get commission for placing candidates, because none of them seems interested in placing me and my "excellent experience".

I'm not hearing back from employers, i believe my recruiter is blocking my résumé. I was called by another recruiter from his staff letting me know there was a job perfect for me but as soon as they learned this particular recruiter was handling my folder all of a sudden the job was on hold????

have had my share of problems with recruiters myself. its like a maze.
