Hello all I use to work for TJ Max about a year and got fired for not following company policy. when I customer returns an item, myself as a cashier has to look up the item to see if it belongs to the store and its a legit item. He comes the issue, I encountered, There has been a new manager that was hired 4 months before I got fired. This manager had it in for me since we meet and he became the mangers of the cashiers. They had monthly goals to sign up customers to Tjmax credit cards. If we as cashiers didn't met those goals. Most of cashiers would get written up in a pushed book. So I got a lot of unfair written ups and reviews that where very negative. I know for a fact that this manager had it out for me to get fired. I did explain it to other upper level management, it went on deaf ears. So I noticed a another tjmax closer to my home than the other one. How would I attempt to apply at the location by my house? How would I explain the unfair practice of me getting fired from the other location? I love tjmax products customers and like working retail. I feel, I shouldn't be punished for a managers hate for me. Please help Need advice how I can work at the location by my house. How to I explain this in a professional matter, and get a chance at this location?

I really liked werner.this made my 2nd round with them.I had no problem with them.if my home situation changes anytime in the near future I'd go back.I left on good terms and had a pretty cool dispatcher.the money was better this time around than the last time.they have otr and dedicated opportunities and many other options.I only left because I am about to gain full custody of my son and need to be home daily.I'm planning on going back on and off in the summer til he graduates.then ill be back to full time.my son loves the road and trucking in general.he is a 15 special needs child but loves trucking.he wants to drive some day.I told him I'd teach him,how to drive when he is ready.and I know that werner would let me.they have a good pet and rider policy and really affordable benefits.

I was terminated in May for no reason at all. They didn't say why they was letting me go or anything. I got a letter with 2 lines that said you was terminated on this day. Headquarters don't even know why I was let go because it's not in the system for them to see. So guess what I spoke to another manager and he said he would rehire me but for a different shift. Now all I need is prayers l

would you go back to a company that treated you badly and asked you back?

They layer me off back in Dec. of 03 and I was told I would be called back in Mar. of 04. By the end of Mar. I called my Aci supervisor and was told that I would not be coming back. They knew in Dec I wouldn't be called back, the thing is I didn't seek employment during that time because I thought I still had a job in the end I lost my home. All they had to do was tell me they didn't need me anymore. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to work there.

I'm an experienced Forklift Operator, 20 years and counting who was recently offered a position at a company I used to work for 3 years ago. After working there for 8 years, decided it was time to move on because of lack of hours and a new job offer, good news, more hours!!bad news, less pay!! Needless to say I've had several jobs between here and there. Three months into my most current job as a temporary employee, with very limited possibility of permanent employment, returning to a familiar workplace with more pay and new manager sounded really great. Well all I can say is that it's not. It hasn't even been 2 weeks yet and I'm already thinking about moving on. The new manager has basically run the ship aground, though not completely all his fault. I should note my former coworker/ buddy is now my boss, and quote "fought like hell" to get me hired on permanent, apparently they only hire temps now, with my requested rate of pay. Yay!! He did warn me of turmoil and a lot of things needed to be changed around the workplace. That's an understatement. Things have changed and not for the better. I won't get into the details of it, Mutiny on the Bounty anybody? The crew is critically over work while freindly captain seems to just mess everything up, so I'm told over and over.. lots of complaining. Truth be told I don't mind being overworked sometimes I like overtime and I'm willing to work Saturdays if needed. The nature of my work entails we don't leave until the work is done. So here's the thing, way too much work in a cramped space, inventory out control, nice but inefficient manager everybody wants fired, not enough equipment and the list goes on... Today I feared I jumped on a sinking ship when my manager left for vacation and didn't say a word to me about it while leaving my Dept submerged in the weeds, overwhelming indeed. Anybody ever been in this position before? Advice?

I got to fight fires, it was a decent experience, I would really love to get back to work working with wild land fire fighting.

I worked at a company for 13 years and was layed off about 2 years ago. I remember there was a passage in my exit paperwork about not being able to apply at any of their other companies. Unfortunately I cant remember the exact verbage. It was one of three things...

  1. cannot apply to any of X companies
  2. cannot apply to any of X other companies
  3. cannot apply to X comapny after some period of time I found on a job board that my old job was available. Wouldnt it make sense to let me at least apply for it since I already know the policies and procedures and they wouldnt have to spend the time on training? Im waiting for a call back from HR so I can ask. Im sort of expecting a "No, its policy" type answer with no real reason. If thats the case, would i be wrong going up the food chain to corporate to get a real rwason or for them to ok a rehire?

I feel like I'm being blackballed. I've applied to a company which I haven't worked for in 13 years. My resume is very extensive and I'm in good standing with all my employers. My employers will tell you I am responsible, dependable, and have great customer service and work ethics. So I get this phone interview and it went well the recruiter was asking me about salary which I never discuss. My salary comes from experience and I have worked up to that amount and have earned that. I know my skills I'm not new to the field. So I worked for this company and left due to injury from a patient and was still in therapy. I had an agreement with nurse manager to stay because there was no staff. I stayed but the agreement was to work on the lightest assignment. A caregiver was pulled from another floor related to the nurse who decides to give my assignment to make work easier for her. Now I explained to her the therapist, nurse manager agreement so she tried to make it look like I was insubordinate. Which nurses through that all out of context these days. I was no stupid ,uneducated person because I jump to the administrator and handle it. Anyway I went to the nurse supervisor and told her the situation at that point if nothing changed I had to go home due to my injury. I was not going to put other patients at risk. I had permission to leave by the nurse manager. So I get through the phone interview and she says she will pass my resume on to the floor manager in the hospital and says wait you are not eligible for rehire. So I ask her why, mind you I have all the qualifications for the job. She couldn't tell me. She said she called the facility and that was what they said and she couldn't go into detail. So I call the facility and they couldn't tell me why. I mean if somebody is not going to hire you and tell you that I have a right to know why they have what they have in my record because it is falsified otherwise. I haven't worked for that nursing home for over 13years.most of my co-workers have been fired and rehired three at the most times and work two/three jobs.I just want this one.
