We just moved to West Monroe Louisiana about a month ago. Found a house pretty quick, but the jobs out here are horrible! All the guys have found jobs but keep getting jerked around for there hours. Part time and making you leave early. I can't even find a job at this point. We are getting ready to lose our house, all the utilities are due and we are so close to losing the storage we have all our stuff in all the way on the east coast. I'm going crazy..we all are..what can we do?

i just started a new job after moving back home. its what i can get close to home. well im still new and have not done fast food in a long time. one day the supervisor yelled said who ever tour this receipt they need to stop leaving get like this. I felt like she was talking to only me since I was the new one . I simply told her I didn't do it . she yelled more and said i didnt say you did im just telling you guys cant do this. i said ok. the customer was just looking at me. i felt dum even thou i did not do it. when i got off. i saw here in the back room. i told her that she was very unprofessional . She shouldnt be yelling at anyone in front of customers. She said she didnt care she was tired of the other employees telling her I wasn't doing something right . No one told me anything. as a matter of fact the day before the manager told me i was doing a good job. well this girl kept yelling i told her she didnt have to yell i was right there. she told me to get out. so i was getting my left over lunch and she said i had to pay for it. that i cant eat free. when everyone else does. the owner even told me can. so what do You think i should do?

I love my work family. I love being in positions to make executive decisions that can aid businesses, families, management, peers, just help. Be it talking, problem resolutions, advice from experience, financial arrangement or personal interaction. And the pay was Excellent but now for family reasons I have to relocate South.. bitter sweet. But excited about this new chapter.

I currently reside in WV, where unemployment rate is one of the highest in the nation and jobs pay $8.75 and $9 and hr for FULL TIME. . . I recently moved back to WV after living in NC for 15 years I have over 6 years of customer service experience but yet no Employer wants to hire me. I worked for almost a year at a Call Center and needless to say it was hectic but the best money around here. The Vocational Schools only teach construction and universities only teach Medical Field Jobs and I am not cut out to handle body’s or even commit to 2 years of school where I would only make $11 an hr anyway. Please if anybody has any good advice for a young person trying to maintain mental happiness... positive vibes would be greatly appreciated...

Tired Job Seeker.

After reading all the post from different people, I am beginning to get scared. I came to America in 2017 as an international student and I graduated in may of this year with an MBA. I have never worked in America. The only experience I have is from my old job back home. I wonder if getting a job will be easy or how I will be treated. I am a black with no experience in America. I need someone to keep me strong. Right now am processing my papers to get my work authorization then start searching for jobs.

I relocated to Georgia in 2017 with my daughters. I have been looking for a job in the medical field. No success. I took a job at a Private Preschool as a Lead Teacher paying 10.00 a hour with no benefits. I fell in love with the children that I am working for. That is why I am staying with them until they graduate. My children are graduating today 5/18/2019. I am stepping out on FAITH to look for another job. I need to find something to pay more money with benefits. I am a dedicated worker. Always on time. I true team player. My background has been medical, but I am willing to take anything that will come with benefits. Looking for employment in Georgia

i worked for the same a/c company for 7 years and was laid off for no reason other than i moved, (several others live far from the job, including my supervisor). yet i had no problems with punctuality, and even offered to commute in my own vehicle. since then i have applied to several a/c companies with no responses. so i am expanding my search. i am a skilled tradesman, and can do just about anything. ive held a wide range of jobs, including painting, marble and granite, a/c maintenance, driving, and property maintenance. in which the latter is mainly what i am looking for.

I used to work at a UPS call center and the best thing is I remember my hourly rate steadily increasing with my experience. I have never had a job where you didn’t have to scrap and beg for every little raise. My work moved quickly and the pay just got better with time. Had to move though or would’ve stayed.

I've moved here in March and had a job but they said I needed to finish getting my GED. I'm working on it but my school paid programs for phlebotomy school as long as we get our GED and I thought that would help but no so it's hard still hard finding a job.
