I left my job last month after my GM screwed me out of $1600 in commissions in ONE day. I had some capital saved up to last a few months. I've applied at multiple jobs and had a few interviews that didnt go anywhere. I'm switching career fields, so I understand. I've been in leadership positions in almost EVERY job I've had. So, when I interviewed today for a night super spot (local manufacturing plant that pays decent) I was pretty excited. Knock interview out of the park, as always, HR is DYING to get me into the night super spot to get the team motivated and moving. What happens? Ops super decides, nah, put this man in the lowest spot, with the lowest pay, with the unskilled labor teams. (I grew up doing construction, was in the military, I have plenty of skilled labor abilities). I took the job because, well, lifes expensive. It's the opposite of the job I interviewed for, and is $4 less an hour than the position, and it's the day time shift that has some raunchy hours. I need the job, but I'm highly upset with the outcome considering I'm more than qualified. What would y'all do?

I was sexually harassed by my male co-worker of Indian descent and got promoted within the company. I also cannot file for unemployment and also the company is giving me bad references. What can I do?

It’s been a little over 3 months since leaving my previous employer. I left for various reasons, primarily because I refuse to work in a verbally abusive atmosphere where I had been threatened and accosted by another coworker (for which there was no recourse because HR was non existent). I have submitted applications EVERY single day and not gotten a single response. Not even an automated email saying they’ve decided to move forward with other candidates. I’m beginning to get very angry. I am divorced, I have a 5 year old son, I don’t collect child support, and while my fiancé works his butt off, our bills are still piling up and it feels like we’re drowning. I WANT to work. I am more than qualified. And not once in the last 10 years have I ever been denied a job, let alone not even interviewed. I’ve seen similar scenarios posted here and I’m wondering how everyone else processes this...how they don’t want to scream at the top of their lungs every day..

This day I announce some news I haven't posted in a while don't give a F@^k what anyone thinks of what I say but today I'm reporting a change I'm Engaged to be married .I even quit my job Roofing I'm leaving Oregon to be go to Miami to Marry my wife and live a new life

I have been an assistant manager at cititrends for 2 years they wouldn't promote me or give a raise ,l decided to resign now they pay went by 1 dollar

I went on company's business and no one to do my job. I was No Show then given option to retire . I retired now having a hard time getting job and explaining to Prospective employers reason for leaving. I got interviewed on the 16th of Sep for Appointment setter job, when the Interviewer asked me"Where do I see myself in the next 3 years, I did not even stop to think, I blurted out Doing my own business" He gave me a stare and then I knew I would not be hired. My husband and I are considering doing our own business, and truly that was on my mind the whole time.It just came out subconsciously but Lord knows IT WAS THE TRUTH.. LOL Tired of being used and abused in a cube.Comments ..more info could make a great read writing a book email candcmarketing(at)yahoo.com

I worked for this Company for 1 day back in Jan of 2018. I had to pay my own way from FL to MA and then pay for my Lodging for the 4 months training. Well on the very first day of training, I had to resign due to My Life Partner being very ill. So, I had to fly back to FL. I was told from the Recruiter I could reapply after 6 months. Well here it is Sept 2019 and I have reapplied many times and was Told by a HR Woman this, "We Paid for your Flights and your Lodging and after 2 weeks you walked off the job, so we will Never look at you again". They out and out lied, because I paid for my own flights and my own lodging and was only there one day. The HR Woman would not even tell me how this information was put in my file at this company. I really wanted to go to work for them and I am so Hurt from them now. They didn't treat me right, but I guess companies can lie about someone if they don't want you to work for them.

Last night I found out a favorite relative of mine passed away. But instead of calling into work, I go in with my relative’s obituary. First I’m promised to be given an answer about getting time off by 1130 am. First lie. I don’t get an answer until 20 minutes before my shift is over. An obituary isn’t enough anymore, not even with the name and phone number of the person who runs the funeral home. I now have to have a pamphlet from the funeral. Except I’m unable to go to the funeral for I can’t afford a plane ticket.
To make things even worse, an incredibly creeper customer comes in and even though my wedding ring is an easy spot on my finger, he continually hits on me. While my coworkers find it hilarious, and doing nothing to help me. The last straw was when the customer told me to get on my knees, so he can whip it out. I couldn’t take it anymore and went to management about him. He was escorted out and people were telling me he’ll be banned from coming back. Second lie. He’s allowed to come back for he was given ‘counseling’. Even though when I brought a manager over he threatened to rape me, like he did to another girl and got nine months in prison.
This is the second sexual harassment complaint I’ve gone to management about. But nothing is getting done. I want to put my two weeks in, but my husband and I need to both be working right now, but I’m afraid I get one more nasty customer I’ll lose it and quit.
Do I take my chances and go jobless for awhile, or do I suck it up and stay till I get something else?

I started working for Safeway July 30 I worked a total of one week and then had to change my shift because I was just diagnosed with cancer. My regional manager refuse to call me for a month after I went in three times politely asking for a shift and then called 12 times being hung up on five and then being told that the manager was unavailable the other half of the time . I eventually had to quit my job and start looking for another one. Mind you the only thing I told them is that I had severe health issues that required more time during the night for me to sleep because of the medication that I am going to be taking. When I had gone in to quit my job I had two checks waiting for me no one had I told me when I was going to be paid, no one had been concerned enough with being under staffed, and that when I actually quit he handed me my checks and literally walked away no thank you for working with us no I apologize for your problems that you had while you were working here and I worked Technically for this company for a total of 2 1/2 months. During that time the conditions of the store were horrible I worked making donuts and I could literally smell the mold from the kitchen & it was making me sick. employment safety was at an all time low, And the standards for the store excuse my language but complete utter bullshit. Other employees were constantly complaining about problems & the manager just didn’t give an absolute flying fuck.

Drama is thick inside there. If your the type who speaks out against wrong doings, and unsafe work habits, they will conspire against you. They meaning the people Henry has put in charge. They play a very racial, and dirty game out there.
