Hi, I was here once before, and I'd like some help with a decision I have to make. I'm 68 and have been a computer programmer for 35 years. My last programming job ended last December. Jobs in my area of specialiry are sort of gone. I was actually on disability for over ten years due to a stroke, but was able to return to work for ten years. I was fired from the last two jobs I had, which was due mostly to the fact that my memory isn't as good as it was due to the stroke. I'm also not as strong physically as before. I am getting Social Security which means I could probably get by if I didn't work anymore. Do you think I shoul retire?

I am a retired professional salesman...Hard working, Successful, Determined Sales--Sales Leader--Sales Manager...Whom thought he was very good at math, arithmetic, etc. Who was / is way SHORT when thinking of retirement...No biggie I didn't want to retire anyway....

After helping build a company and working for the same company for 25 years, I was forced into early retirement. After being informed of when my last day was, which was six weeks later, I was told I needed to stay on to train and inform my replacement on what my job is. The real irritating situation is that the person who terminated me is my brother!

Rick Foltz-Are you still with Pizza Hut? How are you,old friend?

My wife keeps nagging me to retire and I’d love to but I’m honestly not comfortable with the amount of savings we have put away. My wife has a small 401k and I’m expecting a decent pension that we can combine with our social security benefits but what causes caution on my decision is a pending mortgage, rising healthcare costs, and what we hope is an extended life expectancy. Am I being too careful or should I ride it out at work until I reach full retirement age, get laid off, or fired?

I am retired 66 years and looking for a job to help with bills. Not having much luck in the Willoughby - Eastlake area. Can you help. Worked in warehouse and security guards .

Hey everyone, I'm a recent military retiree (spent 20 years in the service!) looking to get into the trucking industry. Are there any programs through CRST that can help me make this transition?

I'm seeking a career change, something stable with a retirement, and lucrative salary. I have several years of experience in customer service and management. I am 44 and I am having a hard time finding a great match. Any suggestions or can someone help.
