Hello everyone. Hope you all are enjoying your day. I'm new here and looking for a part time job that I could work while still receiving Social Security Disability. If anyone has any leads I would appreciate it.

In October of 2017 I was given the option for a voluntary early retirement at the age of 53 from the company I had worked at for 15 years. After a challenging and rewarding 30 year career as a laboratory scientist, I saw this opportunity as a blessing. My mother has been having some medical issues and it is important to me to be able to make myself more available to her. March 31, 2018 was my last day and I have spent the past several months moving from Indiana to Kentucky to be closer to mom. I am looking for a part-time job to supplement my pension.

Everyone looks forward to retiring. I feel just the opposite. It's nice and benefical to keep working as long as possible.

It seems to me that employers do not care if you have a bachelors degree or even that you have served in the military. NO responses to any applications. Feeling frustrated.

Have been retired since 2012, didn't plan properly. Find myself bored, decided to return to workforce.

What do you do after you retire? Volunteer, of course, until you realize you are working far more than you planned without the paycheck. Don't get wrong here--I love doing the work and the people I work with. It just is helpful at the end of the month. So, how do you get a job when you are over 65 that doesn't include sales (yuck!), bagging at the local grocery (really?), or packing/stocking products (not good on the back)? Why can't I use my real talents that I spent most of my employed-life perfecting?

I was a batchman / dispatcher for a high volume ready mix plant. i have gotten up in years and am not looking for that type of pressure in my life any longer. i retired from that type of job and am looking for some kind of data entry that can occupy my daytime hours and utilize working on my computer. i have been a very hard worker at whatever i do and this will not be any different.

I am retired and have spent my adult involved in Employee Assistance Services for a Fortune 500 company. I also ran my own company for 5 years in which I provided seminars and job clubs for the emotional impact of job loss. I have verygood soft skills and am a very reliable person of high integrity. I would like to get a part time job where I can showcase my life skills. Any advice?
