Think I will be forced into retirement and finding some part time or contract work. I am an accountant by degree. Any idea on a placement service that works with older candidates in the Oklahoma City metro?

At 62 ,I understand the age thing all to well. I’m working a job that I like until management starts making it difficult to do your job effectively. Or their obvious favoritism shuts the rest of out of a position that opens up. I have been on a few interviews, attempting to better my situation but, no luck. The second I make eye contact you can tell they aren’t interested. But you go through the motions anyway. Can’t retire. I’m paying student loans so I have bills. Lots of bills. Lol. I plan on working until I’m at least 70 , maybe longer. But I can’t pay my bills on part time minimum wage. Any suggestions?

Trucking has changed so much since I retired back in 2003. The quality of drivers are not as courteous and not as professional as before. The reason is the Electronic logs and the rate of pay have been reduced. The amount of training required to obtain a CDL has dropped. I would to get back on the road but the body say I’m too old. I may seek a local dispatcher position in Houston area.

While we are rethinking the future of work, we need to rethink the future of retirement too. It is wonderful that we are all living longer- but we better adjust our thinking and preparation to be ready for it.

I am retired in advance and therefore I get a small pension from the Swedish government. Retired was not in your options when I applied for a job.

Hello I am looked to work and I am in the Central Florida/ Orlando area. I retired from Verizon last December after 20 yrs and now I want to return to work. I am 50 yrs old and I just feel like my talents is being wasted. Are there strong job leads or hiring company with good salaries out here.
