For me the best lesson learned here is how grateful we should be everyday we are able to wake up to another day and to those of us who have a shelter over our heads, some food on the table clothes on our backs, even if it's not much that we should be able to look up to the heaven and say THANK YOU.

My first day at Salvation Army was as a normal day taking care of your family which in my mind was my second family.

When I worked for Radio Shack I passed the Maryland food banks site everyday and often say I would like to volunteer there. One day I called and at that time what was available was unpacking the trucks which at the time I couldn't do so I was told about Salvation Army where I decided to volunteer.

How the Christmas spirit brings out the best part of people, loved it!

I'm so in need of some extra cash for me and my family. Just moved to Washington all alone and struggling with a 14 year old. I'm seeking part-time employment something like Goodwill or Salvation army. It needs to be light weight work. I have experience on a register. Loading dhelfs sweeping moping etc

I know a family member that work there

Dont trust the assistant managers. I was about to get promoted and the assistant manager filled my gas tank with sand and rocks and ruined the motor in my car.

I loved working with the people they are what actually made working there great. The regulars were just amazing people.

It was Great for it being my first Day ! I would recommend if you have alot of time on your hands why not Volunteer you get to meet so many people from all walks of life .
