Do you guys hire part time seasonal drivers
I’ve been a seasonal fulfillment associate at Amazon for about two months now. So far so good, Everyone goes out of their way to help and encourage each other.
On the first day, I thought to myself, what did I get myself in to? It was quite overwhelming, but by the end of day 2 of my shift, I realize I was creating a second family. The energy, motivation, and determination to get the job done helped me to push through the hours. Even though it’s seasonal, now I’m thinking I might want to transition into part-time. It’s interesting that what was once, just a job to make extra cash is now what I look forward to in my daily work life.
Last year around the holidays I got a job working for Amazon's customer service department. Alot of people end up getting the job for the holidays but they can't keep everyone after its over. Its definitely a good job if you have to be flexible or have kids at home

I took a seasonal job as a driver helper to earn a little x-tra holiday money but so far it's amounted to unpaid on call "work"! They told me I'd probably start Nov 1, I get a call Monday November 5th asking me if I can work Tuesday the 6th and to call in at 7:30am. I call in Tuesday at 7:30 and spend 25 minutes on hold only to be told "No, looks like we're ok for today" BUT they ask me if I would be around later if they needed me. I said yes. 30 minutes later I get a call back from a different person saying they needed help in my area and was I able to work. When I said yes they said they would get in touch with the driver and then call me back with the details- "in probably about an hour". That was 8:30. 9:30 comes...and goes. 10:30 comes....and goes. 11:30, 12:30, etc. I never got a call back; no email, text message, nothing. I had stuff that I needed to do but couldn't because I was waiting on their call. It was a blatant lack of courtesy. MY QUESTION- Is it normally like this? I understand they will get busy, but I've read a lot of reviews that say the company calls you at the last minute, and you may only get 3-4hrs per day. I'd love to hear other people's experience because honestly the pay is about 35-40% more at Fed-ex and 50-60% better at other seasonal jobs in my area; with some with benefits and all with more hours and set schedules. Let me be clear, I'm NOT trying to get my foot in the door with this job or make a career out of UPS. Any replies would be highly appreciated!

I live in florida and its not all that its cracked up to be . Lived in florida 23 years and cant wait to get out a lot of restaurants are seasonal you would probably make more up there and if your wife has a good job is it worth the expence of moving
