I work in a specialized, highly intense field of customer service. I recent came across this site and I have found that the conversations here are very narrow in scope and revolve around trouble with employers or locating a job. My industry sells roughly 500k new vehicles annually and a total community that is shy of 9 million. I make good money at it. Not rock star money but very comfortable. I just lost my job for a very lame reason. Do I exit or continue the field? I left Atlanta for Savannah and Savannah for Seattle. Being homesick for the Southeast, I took a job in Florida. It lasted only 8 months. I'm not whining mind you. It's perspective. I likely cannot make the same income in the area I live in. Therefore, I prepare to move or do I accept lesser income? I like my lifestyle and income level so now the question is do I change industries or do I move? See, in life we must make hard choices. Do what I love and move from a place that I just recently move to or move to a different industry and likely make the money I am used to and leave an industry I loved being in for most of my adult like? Life is filled with these options. I tell my kid that "You go where the money is". Thing is, maybe the money isn't in the field I love anymore and it's time to do the same thing in a different world of wheels. Life is a choice. Sometimes you make the wrong one, but in nearly every instance you can change your direction. Life is interesting. The thing you must always remember is you must keep moving forward... even if it's the wrong direction. You can always change that direction if you want.

I am currently looking for a web producer/marketing specialist/web production position in the greater Seattle area. Due to the holidays, getting traction with recruiters and hiring managers has been very difficult because everyone if out of the office. But I continue to apply to everything that appears to suit my skill set. My Jobcase profile is complete if you wish to review it.
