I left Southern Regional in February 2014 which was not my choice. My position was deleted. I loved working there. When I was employed in 1981 it was owned by the county and was like a close family. It gave me the opportunity to work in several different departments. Although, the nurses are a big portion of employees, there are other areas of the hospital which may function behind the scenes. As time passed the close family became less and less. You really had to watch your back and be very careful around some directors and upper management. When I had to leave there were, probably, about a handful of "oldies" still there, but that was 3 years ago. I miss some of the people there and the camaraderie that was shared. I literally spent half my life there and leaving was like a death you never get over. The hospital is not county owned now but owned by another company.

Calling and harassing all hours of the night by Mrs Owens......false accusations all due to her drinking. Cussing and belittling on and off job.
