Helping when needed and providing as much as I can to help make the work place better

Just wanted to say something to everyone on here, whether your looking for a job, have an interview next week, are currently employed, or have been turned down for the fifth time. Don't lose heart! You can do this!!! Just keep at it and persevere! It won't come easy but your time will come! Remember the ones who achieved success on the first try weren't as great of an inspiration.

Take this info with you into job interviews, because after all, companies look at not only what you do, but WHO you are. MANY of these can be used during your job search process and even when you land the job (because I know you want to keep it)!
Here are some examples of how to be awesome.
How many do YOU already do?
-Being optimistic and having a positive outlook -Reaching for, finding, and living your passions and dreams -Facing your fears and overcoming them with confidence -Leading by examples of honesty, integrity, and thoughtfulness -Helping others and giving back to your community, however you can -Treating others as they deserve to be treated: with kindness and respect, unless they are not deserving -Continue growing, learning, evolving, and participating in the world, helping to make a difference -Having the courage to stand up for yourself and others -Being able to raise your voice when no one’s listening -Being of high character and having moral values -Bringing out your inner creativity and showing it to the world
AND now the not so awesome, you want to AVOID!
-Being narcissistic and selfish, thinking only of yourself and your own needs -Treating others badly because of your own situation -Feeling sorry for yourself, taking your aggressions out on others, and being a Debbie downer -Being greedy, selfish, corrupt, dishonest, unfaithful, asinine, or any other type of monster -Being pessimistic and overly negative
When you compare the list there are so many more ways to be awesome than not, so no excuses ; )
What are some of the reasons that YOU are awesome?

So awhile back I had a HELL of a day. I had an interview, but on the way the car just up and died. NO one would give me a jump so I just left the car there and started running. On the way it literally starts to POUR buckets out of NO where. I mean come on?!!! Then a car pulls over and asks if I need a ride. Now normally I would have said no way because I am ALL SET with hitch hiking, but I was desperate and needed to make up the time. This kind person drops me off and tells me he also works in this building which I see now is gigantic. I thank the person and in a rush forget to grab his name. So I arrive to the interview late, soaked, and I realized I left my resume in my car. Awesome.
I tell the receptionist what happened, but she tells me that the hiring manager has left for lunch and will return shortly and that he may still see me but she isn’t sure. I wait. I wait. I wait some more. Then a group of people walk in and the receptionist a few seconds later motions for me to go down the hall. My shoes are still soaked despite my best efforts and now make a swish/swash sound as I walk...you know the one. I felt so stupid! I knock on the door and I hear come on in. I step inside and I am FACED to FACED with the man who gave me a ride. He smiles and says he knows now why I was late. We both laugh because sometimes life is just so weird!
He told me he normally never would have believed my story about the car breaking down had he not seen it with his own eyes. I knew this kind person would make an amazing boss and he has been. Not many people would pick up a stranger in need. So don’t lose heart guys because as my mom always says, “It’s always darkest before the dawn.” I am sorry, but bad things WILL happen to you, but it’s how you overcome them that matters. Life is not easy right? I see a lot of negativity here, but don’t let those people stop you. Be awesome, don’t quit! If I had given up that day I wouldn’t have a job.

Get in better shape. As i get older It's getting harder and harder. Plus TACO TUESDAY don't help. #staypositive

Enjoy!

Thanks for job search Mariah Bliss.
