I found a job. Had a interview and got the job. Working at Walmart again.

I got the job

I recently moved to a new state without a job when I arrived my first application was for a job I had 40 plus years doing & I didn't get the job because it was 25 minutes away from where I am living, & they presumed I would be calling out because of no ride. I then applied to 2 more jobs one that I had skills in & one I didn't... the one I didn't have any skills at emailed me for an interview, & somehow I sold myself well enough to get the job & funny thing it pays more than the job I had experience in... So reinvent yourself use the skills you have to sell yourself into a higher paying position, good luck to all.

On the first day on the job "everyone is eager to get their hands dirty."Or thanking God they have time to acclimate to a new situation. So we all search out who feels like a fabulous counter part to this learning experience. And what do you know you end learning more without saying anything or just by asking a few questions... Watch, listen and take it all in. Then make your move! Praising others makes people feel good about what they are doing. Everyone needs a little attention now and then. So gold stars are always handy!

My official start day is tonight. Orientation went well...i look forward to working at Amazon

I have a phone interview on Monday 22nd with Schlumberger, everyone pray for me it's been rough looking for a good job.

After 12 years on disability I’m getting back to work. I left as a SX auditor making $138,000 a year and even though I’ll only make $30 an hour, I’m excited to be back in my field with little certifications needed. Now I’m studying for my CIA ( certified internal auditor ) and CPA exams. On a personal note, I’m starting back at a gym so I can get my dancer body back and lose 25 pounds to get back to 116! I’m also looking at old farmhouses on land to buy. Life is good!

I just started a new position last week. I had been looking for work for 6 months. I didn't have a lot of faith in finding a new one, but I did. I am 73 years old and have been a bankruptcy Paralegal for close to 30 years. I am working for a creditor now instead of debtors in their legal/bankruptcy department. For all of you out there looking, don't give of hope. Like I said, I am 73 years old and got a high paying fantastic job. Good luck to all.

I have orientation today!!! A little nervous but also excited!! Wish me luck you guys!!

EDIT: I passed everything and start Monday. I'm so happy and excited!
So I received a conditional offer. If I pass my background check and my drug test. Fingers crossed please! I have no doubt I'll pass the background and drug test. But until I'm actually given hours, I'm going to continue to worry. I seriously need a job. Hopefully once this is all done and I'm working this massive ball of dread in my abdomen will finally go away.
