I have discovered that education does not matter; when no records of employment can be found for a length of time(18 yrs..). I can not use deception. America relies on the interrelated and interdependent subsystems to keep us a thriving nation. But, I require employment in today's economy. The question is how do I take advantage of Temp Firms? I will sell, customer service, accounting, phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, pro for is reports, etc. but I need an entrance.

I was working for a temp service. For a distribution center. For almost 6 months. They never complained about or anything. Until one day a manager came up to me and let me know what I did wrong about stacking product wrong. OK the next day my temp service call me and tells me I was let go. I asked what the problem was she just said they sent her an email stating that it just wasn't working out. So after 6 months it didn't work out really. I think they just didn't want to hire me permanently.

I am 52 right now on a temp assignment. All I seem to get is temp assignments in New York/New Jersey. I get phone interviews only for full time positions, but I never get a call back for a follow up interview now. When I was younger, by the second interview I got called back and hired, now with my extensive knowledge in accounts payable (over 30 years) no one wants to hire me. I hear from everyone, the economy is getting better, but I can't see it. Why don't companies want the experience we have to offer them? I can't make a living on unemployment in between temp jobs. Does anyone have any advice on where I can look. I really need to find a F/T position, I would really appreciate any help you could give.

I am looking for a new job. This after a terrible experience with a supervisor and manager at my last position.

My problem is that every job I am interested has been listed by temp agency. This has become a very frustrating problem. Previously, I have been working for some temp agencies for this reason. How can you find a decent job that is not temporary but actually hiring?

It's been my experience that in the past if I were to quit a position after putting in 2 weeks, I wouldn't be able to work for that Temp Agency again. Has anyone experienced this? I accepted a month long assignment, but I was recently hired for a temp to hire position and it pays great and has benefits. What if I hate it? Anyhow gone thru this?

I am over 55 yrs old I went back to school and received my BA in 2014 and I'm receiving my MA this weekend. My last full time job was in 2013, I have been working my own company, volunteering and going to school. How can I get back out there and look more appealing to employers? Do I start volunteering, temp agency or have some update my resume? Help!

While working for a temporary agency at a manufacturing company, I applied and was hired by another staffing agency that also hires for this company bunn. My consultant told me I had to give her a 2 day notice, the job was week to week and this happened Friday was to start new job Monday. She calls the human resources department at bunn complaining that the other staffing agency stole their employee and I haven't given her proper notice, now the company will not hire me because of this incident. How can I file a complaint or who do I go to.

I’m a temp worker having problems with a permanent employee. There’s a group of us working on this assignment and for some reason I’m the one being singles out for mistreatment by this perm worker who’s not even a supervisor. Normally I would call the temp office and ask for another job assignment but this job is contracted for 6 months work with excellent pay for a laborer. Should I talk to the company supervisor on site or the temp office manager?
