I recently moved to Maryville. And I have worked for this company going on four years now. Before I moved I talked to my team leader and HR and they all told me. That I could transfer to the Maryville plant when I moved. I have been here two months now and they tell me now that I have to quit my job and put a application in at the Maryville plant. I really dont see how that is a transfer if I quit. I was raised don’t ever quit a job until you have one lined up. So I’m afraid to take the chance and quit because I make pretty good money and if I quit I’m scared I won’t get a job with the benefits I have now and make what I make now. So needles to say I drive 156 miles to and from work and I work 12 hour shifts. I’m at a losers to what to do now. Since I already work for this company I don’t understand why I have to quit. Why can’t I be transferred like they told me I could. Very lost at the moment. I can’t continue to drive that far for much longer.
