My husband and I have been married almost 40 years. He survived 3 heart attacks. I overcame depression and a mental breakdown. We raised 11 children. They are all alive and kicking. We may not all be in the best of health but we are all living and American. Yes! I have a lot to be thankful for! Amen!

I'm completely thankful for what God has provided and given me. Through the test and trials, and the events life that brings, the Lord has been and is my helper. I found out on a personal level that when you have the spirit of thankfulness, you will have less to complain about. My grandma had a saying when I ask her, Grandma, how you been doing? She'd say ," I'm doing good and better than some and that speaks volumes" I understand now what she meant, everyday should be surrounded with being thankful...

I'm thankful to know that my career opportunities are numerous and awesome, thanks for a public forum to look for potential dream jobs, my current job, is a blessing and it helps to pay the bills, but hopefully someday I'll find that perfect job, which uses all of my skills and experience from a lifetime of various jobs.

2 Timothy 1-7 reminds all of us that there is something greater and bigger than this world and the people inside it everyday. Many folks don't have any belief in a higher source or power that is God; but, wise men who became wise were once non-believers too. Remember people; we sometimes say, "show me" or "give me proof first, then--just maybe I may believe in you"

Just look around you and look in the mirror. You are perfectly made; but, if you don't see it; and don't believe it---those thoughts come from years of battering on you and mistreatment; terrible experiences you and I have suffered. But, see these things; the fresh air; the wind blowing through your hair; a lover's true kiss; a sweet baby you are holding right now---laughter; an elder who is dancing and doing yoga at 99. Good food with people you love or like; a little job that gives you a sense of purpose; but, looking to help others who are suffering more than you; we are God's children; we are all related whether you are a bigot or a racist---you cannot change what has been set in stone before we were born---when we embrace kindness, love and compassion for others; and when we learn to forgive others who hurt us 77 times perhaps, we free our minds, our emotions and ourselves to enjoy life again. To skate, ride a bike, dance and sing---to cook and bring food to starving homeless folks. To not judge people because they are mentally ill; to do some volunteering in a church; or a hospital and remembering there are plenty of people all over the world struggling right now who are running and hiding for their lives where evil exists and where bombs are destroying holy places. History keeps repeating itself. If you don't know anything, visit a library, sit down for an hour and pick up a book and read about it.

We have a balance in this world: the yin and the yang of it. good vs evil. happy vs sad. young vs old. But, everything is here and we have freedom, given to each man, woman and child in this great country today---these soldiers gave up their lives and they came back and are still waiting for help to feel whole once again.

When we stop looking at what we don't have; and instead---be grateful for what we do have (regardless of how little) perhaps only then, we shall stop comparing ourselves to others; perhaps we will stop living through our favorite rock and movie or reality stars and begin living for our neighbors and others who are alone and afraid.

Get out today and walk around and try to find ten good things that surround you: a roof over your head; no rats or roaches in your home; food on the table; clothing and shoes to wear; a cell phone; a car to drive; your license; friends; family you cherish; children; your favorite pets; now continue on and be grateful more and thank Him daily---because we all know this "it could be a whole lot worse"

I am so thankful this Thanksgiving. Not only am I blessed with a happy healthy family, but I am blessed to spend most of my awake-hours with a fabulous team here at Jobcase central who are all dedicated to empowering EVERYONE in their worklife.

Today I reflect on the courage of the pilgrims and the charity and good-will of the Native Americans who helped. I am so grateful to be an American, so lucky to be born into such a great country. I look forward to 2017 healing some of the open divisions that seemed to get bigger in 2016. I think this community is a good first step. Jobcase is a place where all people are welcome; a place where your opportunity increases, where people help people, and where you can get a little more power back to pursue and accomplish your own dreams.

I am thankful for the opportunity to build Jobase.com to provide tools and, more importantly, the platform for people to help people in every aspect of worklife. So whether you are happily employed and figuring out how to do even better, or not happily employed and looking for a new job/gig, or just trying to figure out where you are going with your worklife - thanks for being part of this community! Thanks for giving us your vote of confidence to keep getting better and better over time at being the go-to place that will help you for years and decades to come.

So Thank you Jobcasers! And I hope you have an absolutely fabulous Thanksgiving with the loved ones in your life! Fred #jobcasefamily #thanksgiving #thankful
