I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, but please stop and consider those who are homeless. Did you know that Los Angeles has become the #1 capital in the U.S. for homelessness now? Our nation is hurting and we must stop to think about others if we are to turn this nation around and giving to our fellow citizens in need is a major way to help. One place that is in need is the Union Rescue Mission downtown Los Angeles Skid Row area. They are overwhelmed with the homeless seeking help on a daily basis and they need our help. Won't you consider reaching out to them this Thanksgiving, God will surely bless you. You can go to URM.com and donate. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! And THANK YOU!
Because among the many blessings for which I am thankful for this year, having you as a Jobcaser is an extra special blessing.
One reason that the first Thanksgiving story is heartwarming at its core is because its a story about people helping one another. Even when they are strangers. Even when they are from vastly different cultures. And, isn't that what this Jobcase platform is for? Every day we get the pleasure of seeing Jobcasers use this platform to love and support and help one another. Even when they are strangers. Even when they are from vastly different cultures. So, you see, this holiday is extra special around here. We are appreciative of your being a member and inspired by your activity and use of this platform.
We'll come back Monday and get back to work on making this platform better and better. But for now, we are pausing. We are thinking about all our blessings in life. We are thankful for those early native Americans and Pilgrims. We are thankful for this country, our families, and our friends. And we are thankful for YOU!
Happy Thanksgiving Jobcaser!
We hope its a fabulous day for you and your loved ones.. Fred #HappyThanksgiving #StrongerTogether

ps; if you are still reading - feel free to leave a comment about what you are thankful for this Season? We'd love to hear..

I just would like to take the time to give thanks to God for not just this day since Thanksgiving to me isn’t a day but more a lifestyle. As I enter into month 11 of unemployed, I thank God for not only providing above and beyond my expectations but the opportunity and privilege to use this time of transition to pray and be an encouragement to others who’s employment situations (or lack thereof) have left them with feelings of dispair, disillusion or lack of hope and faith. Be encouraged and know that God is in the midst of what you’re going through even when it appears He isn’t and He has said He will be never leave nor forsake you. I’m thankful for this opportunity to share the good news with you and God is good “all” the time and “all” the time God is good and His goodness isn’t tied to whether I have a job or not and for those reading this today, please take time to count your blessings no matter how small you may think they are and “be” a blessing to someone else.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Happy Gobble Day to all The holiday season always make me take a moment to reflect think back on the year and set goals for the coming year. Many of us are excited about the holidays while others of us dread the holidays. Some of us are hosting others of us are travelling. Its one of the times that family should get together and just enjoy this time together but that is on always the case. We have a little dysfunctionality in our family, the meaning of Thanksgiving varies from person to person. Some of us will be nice and warm and cozy while others will be wondering if we will even have a meal today. On the East Coast the temperatures have dipped, in NYC it was 19 degrees and this does not include the wind factor. The streets of NY are inundated with homeless people. While providing a meal for them today is critical but they struggle everyday with finding food and shelter. The homeless situation continues to get worse. I just hope that all will find a way to have a meal and find shelter indoors. On another note, I am wishing all a great holiday. Despite the problems that may plague us, not enough money, no job, no where to go, dysfunctional family, chaos within family, take a moment to enjoy this day as well as everyday. Everyday that you wake up you have an opportunity to do something amazing, to change something in your life, to inspire others. Focus on the good things, work on improving the not so good things and accept the things you cannot change. You cant change others but you can change how you react to others.

Happy Gobble Day, hope you all have a great day.

I love this day. I love seeing my family all together. I love getting a bit fatter on a great dinner. I love seeing kid's faces as they watch the parade. The whole thing.
I also love how it gives us pause to consider what we are thankful for. I marvel at the strength of the Pilgrims to come to an unsettled country. I am thankful for their courage and I am thankful for the kindness that the native Americans on the Cape showed them. I am focused on that today. The kindness of one group to another. One person to another. And that's why I am SO thankful for you! At its core - Jobcase is a platform where people help people. And you do. Everyday.
So, YES I am thankful for this country, our origins and this day. YES I am thankful to our military, first responders and others who put our freedom and safety first. YES I am thankful to God for my blessings - especially healthy, happy kids. But I am sitting here this morning feeling especially thankful for you - Jobcasers. People supporting the vision of a community that helps one another navigate difficult future of work. So on behalf of all of us building this site - thank you Jobcasers. Your kindness to one another motivate us everyday.
As we consider that first thanksgiving of 397 years ago - perhaps we can focus on the greatest aspect being how at its core they celebrated people helping people. And let's bring that spirit forward here, and beyond.
Happy Thanksgiving!
