The food at Wegmans is NO JOKE. I'm an experienced chef working at a restaurant and i've been feeling so burnt out. Would Wegmans be a good fit for me, or will I be out of place?

I’m taking time off school because I need a second job to help pay my bills. I honestly don’t know if I’ll be able to make it back with the high cost of living these days. I have both retail and foodservice experience and there’s a Wegmans grocery store nearby that’s hiring. Never worked in a grocery store before but I’m looking for a part time position with the least amount of customer interaction. Whats a the best department to work in at a grocery store? I wouldn’t mind working in the bakery department because I love baking but stocking shelves looks like a pretty laid back job too. What do you think?

In 1995 i was a proud employee of Wegmans , doing what i considered to be a perfect job. A sales demonstrator. I moved to Montana in 1996 and to my disappointment Wegmans did not have a branch that far west. I have now returned home and would like the opportunity to once again join the Wegmans family.
