I am a writer and I have written many things, however have not published anything. I need assistance bringing many of the things I write to life. If you saw the movie “Rocket Man” basically I am the writer and I need my “Rocket Man.” I need someone to help me elevate my work. A mentor, accountability coach, a experienced writer, someone who will be instrumental in helping me evolve as a writer. 6/8/19 Saturday My name is Pete Wehle. I am a Heart Transplant Survivor and I have been writing a great deal. (Here is one of my more recent compositions.) TRUTH MAKES BROTHERS OF US ALL

My philosophy of life is simple: To love God with my whole heart, mind, and spirit. We are universally all brothers and sisters We are all ONE! That is the TRUTH. We attempt as modern humans to pretend that we have all the answers and therefore present ourselves as infallible. We think we know the keys to TRUTH but this is false bravado; a feeling that we are superior to others of lesser importance in our wayward minds.

In recent days, in our own country of the United States of America, we have seemingly cornered the market on the expression of the “Ugly American.” We have acted as though mortals lesser than us, white, prosperous individuals are much better than any black, brown or indigenous person. On the other hand, we, white Americans, still tend to believe at our core that holding onto our American values is the very best that humans can obtain. We believe, that being part of the dominant and powerful race, the white race, that we have been pre-ordained to rule over other people of color. This is the type of thinking that has caused numerous conflicts and wars in our lifetime and the lifetimes of our ancestors. I am not referring to our desire to be free because that is a given among all people. Rather, I am referring to an attitude that precludes diversity and other ways of approaching solutions for a more fairer equitable distribution of educational resources that ultimately lead to the freedom we all seek.

The TRUTH, at least from my perspective, is that we should Love each other as Master Jesus The Christ loved us. This is unconditional love that is available to every single living human today. And, it is not how long we live physically but how much we spiritually love our fellow human being. If we were to focus on similarities instead of our differences how much more pleasant the air would be to breathe. I am definitely not saying that we should accept any type of authoritarian ideology. We should be allowed to speak our minds openly, freely and without fear of retribution. If I want free speech then we must have free thoughts. And, by changing our thoughts we will change our lives, this admonition was constantly echoed by the late, great Dr. Wayne Dyer.

In the Coptic Fellowship established by Master Hamid Bey, continued on by Master Stanley and hosted today by Master John Davis, our will and desires are to recapture our true selves, always for the betterment of humanity. The Egyptians carved their legacy in stone because that was the way the ancients preserved their beliefs but today we carry on the great traditions with our words and actions. We are expressions of God because we are part of God.

In my small town of South Haven, Michigan we have an overlook that looks out at the great, Big, Blue Water; Lake Michigan. And, right by that overlook is a bench for visitors to sit and enjoy the view with a plaque on the bench by Poet, Sir William Blake that states, “To See The World In A Grain Of Sand, And Heaven In A Wildflower, To Hold Infinity In The Palm Of Your Hand, And Eternity In An Hour.” I wrote a similar stanza as follows: “To See Beyond Earth’s Horizon, And Heaven in a Stormy Lake, Always Reaching For The Light, Forever Going Into The Night.” May we always seek Spiritual Truths no matter the source or direction.

I have applied to many customer service positions, but for some reason telemarketing and similar jobs have rejected me, even though I have over 21 years of retail experience. I wrote a thesis (over 200 pages) which conformed to the Chicago Manual of Style, but writing and editing positions have not found me fit to even be a junior editor. Someone said to me a few days ago since there are more applicants than jobs, employers prefer to hire a friend of one of their current employees (the devil that they know), rather than the devil they do not know.

I strive to gain a work from home job. I use to write contributor pieces for a blog but when they got shut down I was out of a job and being it only paid little I had to go back to retail. So now that I’m out of retail I am determined to get an at home job as a writer or virtual social media assistant #Goals #Writer #VirtualAssistant #Determination

One week I would be writing a post doc research paper and the next week I would be writing an artist's statement to gain entry into a guild. I wrote non-fiction articles for history buff magazines and newspaper articles for African dance troupes. I was a writer for hire and I learned a lot.

Best of Success Always~

I have to first admit, I haven't been in a real "job search" mode in over a decade. Job changes were almost always due to a former colleague in an influential position as someone who knew my work.

The last several interviews (2nd and 3rd rounds) required obscene amounts of work to produce some kind of documentation for the next interview- whether a 1-year plan, example of work product (not examples of anything I have done, but they would give a topic and then ask for a deliverable specific to the topic.)

Now, to the point: some of these take hours and hours to produce a quality deliverable. Topics are deep and require significant market or legal research. Documents are well-evolved (accurately branded, links to other locations in the document, fully linked TOC, "return to top of section", "return to top of document", etc), contain edited/redacted images, and accurate subject content. Basically, publishable. One potential employer interviewed me for 3 different positions: 3 colossal document packages requested and delivered; and all 3 positions were promoted from within.

Granted, I am a writer (makes sense they want demonstrated skill - because 15 years of history isn't enough?) but when I was in their seat, I had a test (15 min) for applicants.

Is this "work for free just to get an interview" the new norm?
