Good Morning Jobcase Community Just wanted to stop in and update everyone on how I'm doing. Been at my new position 4 weeks and 2 days. So far so good. I am settling in and have become familiarized and comfortable with the company and some of my co-workers. I am at a world-wide corporation headquarters, so there are employees spread across the US, Canada, South America, Asia, Africa and even into Australia. I'll probably never know everyone lol, but I'm getting to know those I work regularly with more and more each day. The people are friendly, and diverse, intelligent, and professional. I am 7 minutes from home which is a huge change for me. One I'm absolutely loving, and my take home pay is pretty good. So 1 month in NO COMPLAINTS. I'm under contract currently through labor day, but the company seems to like me, so I'm expecting to go permanent in September. A pay increase is likely and my benefits will kick in, so it'll be a nice birthday ( #45) for me this year I believe. Fingers crossed. I start school Monday at night, lol so we will see how this goes. It's only 6 weeks and it'll give me much needed certification, but I'm not in my 20s anymore. I attended college full-time, worked 40 hours a week and had an infant back then. I know, women rock right? Lol. I am a 44 yo empty nester now, but I usually take a nap after work and go to bed by 9 lol, so being in school until 10 after working an 8 hour day 4 nights a week, is going to be a struggle. Lol Send me prayers and positive energies. Despite what people say, 45 is NOT the new 25. It will be hard, I'm not gonna lie. But failure and quitting are not options for me and being the queen boss that I am, nothing to it but to do it. Lol I'll follow up later and let you know how that goes. Now, To everyone still looking for work and wanting too throw in the towel, DON'T! Keep going, keep trying and keep believing in yourself and your ability to create the life you want for yourself. The life you deserve. There are enough dream killers and downpressers surrounding you, why jump on that bandwagon and destroy yourself? It's usually the people not doing anything with their lives who get in the way, and tell those who are making strides, doing things and creating the life they want it can't be done. Naysayers, dream blockers, and negative nasties I call them. Misery loves company and if you hang around and listen to those not doing it, you won't be doing it either. Most of them are your competition and want you to fail. That way they get the job instead of you. Just keep chugging along and chipping away at it. Slow and steady wins the race. Hold on for one more day, and always one more day. EVERYTHING in life comes to an end. EVERYTHING. This includes being unemployed. It cannot last forever which means your breakthrough is fast approaching. The seeds you plant today, will harvest tomorrow. Do not quit, just as your opportunity knocks on the door. Your time is coming. I promise. It is your turn and you will get the job. If you have questions or need advice, just want someone to bounce ideas or frustrations off of or want honest opinions and feedback I'm here. I'm a great no judgment sounding board and I've got a pretty interesting life with a wild educational and employment history that I'd be happy to share and compare with you. I'm here and you know how to reach me. Let me know.

Enjoy your day all! Namaste and Jah Bless!
