This too shall pass and you must pass through the test of times. So, GRIND through this. #4. Cry in private, then, praise in public, because, "weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning." #5. Each morning before your feet touch the floor, say Thank You in advance.

This is not what your partner wants to hear right now. What they want most of all is a partner that listens to them and makes them feel heard and understood. A lot of time when we're facing an issue and talking about it with a partner we're not asking for solutions immediately and in fact when we're initially presented with ideas (even those that are good) are going to be rejected because we want our feelings to be understood. So please, listen, ask and then when your partner feels that you understand their situation, you can start helping with advice.

No. #1 Adjust your MINDSET. If you say things look bleak and not hopeful, no bother to apply. No. #2 Adjust your ATTITUDE. If you say I'm sick and tired, guess what? You're sick and tired, so, don't bother to apply. No. #3. Adjust your THINKING. If you say I submitted 49 resumes, isn't that enough? Don't think about applying. No. #4. Adjust your ACTIONS. If you believe 49 resumes were too many. This is not 2001, things have changed.

The owners are the greatest people. It is sometimes necessary to work with very difficult people in the oilfield. If you want the work you have to deal with those people. The owners always backed me and told me we didn't need work bad enough to put up with abuse. It made it alot easier to work in that situation. I never did walk away from a difficult customer but I did have the option.
