Airgas was fantastic when it was starting out. I ires on as a route sales driver and to my success promoted and relocated to Branch Manager. Then promoted to outside sales for 2 different branches. With success relocated from Texas to Florida where I was both Branch Manager and account manager until I trained young branh manager then I was strictly Account Manager. It’s when Airgas bought out tritech and brought in Tritech owner in as regional President his impartiality of x- tritech employees over us airgas Employee. No advancement for us. After 20 years loyal service no recognition o milestone. That’s when it went down hill.

I felt proud to work for a company like Airgas, I was a veteran of 25 years and like any other major company there were always rules to abide by. But in May of last year there was a serious incident in Minnesota. As me being the distribution Manager I was in charge are preparing the drivers for their days work. In a particular morning meeting the subject came up as to what I Kneel for the national anthem. I responded no I will never kneel for something like that. Apparently it hurt somebody’s feelings and they went crying to HR, the next day I was called into the office and was fired. I think this was a violation of my first amendment rights. I couldn’t even state my case they just wanted me gone. I have nothing good to say about this company anymore, especially the place that I worked at where racism runs rampant but nobody gives a damn.

I worked for Airgas East, other regions may operate differently. They were very profit oriented and all the wealth flowed to the stock owners and upper management. Not much was given to lower levels. Many levels of management, generally good natured but at the lower levels they really did not have a complete understanding of operations as many employees do not wasn't to be move up as they know they will work longer hours, face more stress. At the end of the day it is better to work as an hourly employee.

Actually it was a good place to work. I have zero animosity towards the people or the company.

I decided to work for #Airgas because...it was close to my home

I was transferred from Henderson Ky to Evansville In. That's not what I signed up for.

My biggest mistake was taking a position working for Pat Cadutti who is the fleet manager for Airgas Midsouth she has to be hands down the worst supervisor I have ever worked for. She has no control over her emotions having no ability to use reasoning or common sense when dealing on a personal level.
