Hired in 1983 and left when the Company spun off our business Unit 1998. I was about 27 when hired and definately a huge step up from firm I departed. I did well and grew in my job abd became an Account Manager with about $30 million worth of business. After Bossidy came in, training and excellence kicked in and I was nominated for Leadership class. Also started a Six Sigma project at GE Plastics wheere a lot of eyes were on what I was doing. It all crashed down when our plant was sold to Sunoco in Philadelphia. I went with the business, had no choice. Sunoco Chemicals management did not respect TQM or Six Sigma and was a Command and Control run environment. Losers from CEO to our unit boss. OK so I had a big mouth and told them pretty much how bad they sucked. In 9 months it was out the door!! I tried over and over to get back to HON and came close twice. The best days of my career and memories to match. First cabin all the way!!

The closeness of those I worked with.
