Spring has sprung, and April is coursing along! In spite of the economic uncertainty, local job fairs and career workshops are still calendared and on the horizon for the month of April. This month, I’ve perused Eventbrite for job fairs to share with fellow Angeleno Jobcasers.

I found 5 promising listings in the LA area so far, starting next Wednesday, April 16. This month I’ve made sure to highlight in-person events, which can be more conducive to employment opportunities.

As I’ve said before, I like to advocate for job fairs and workshops because it is so easy to get lost in the shuffle of crowded online application channels. Online job searches can be further complicated by ATS requirements, and other formalities. In-person events, in particular, allow for candidates to stand out and speak for themselves.

For non-Californian Jobcasers, be sure to check Eventbrite for listings near you!

Here are some of the most promising selections from the list, so far:

  1. Long Beach Career Fair: Wednesday, April 16, 9:30am
  2. Los Angeles Job Fair: Thursday, April 17, 11:30am
  3. Santa Monica Youth Job Fair: Thursday, April 17, 1:00pm
  4. Los Angeles Career Fair (Glendale): Thursday, April 24, 11:00am
  5. LA Career Fair: Exclusive Tech Hiring Event: Friday, April 25, 9am (Virtual)

Bear in mind that some of these events require pre-registration!

Feel free to add other job fair tips in the comments! Good luck out there, fellow Jobcasers!

During the time I was struggling with alcoholism and failing at University. I ended up applying for a job in order to help me stay on the right path as well as for work experience. I ended up staying and it helped me to push myself to do great things. I ended up working almost fulltime on the Freight Team. I ended up with tremendous achievements and two Homer Awards.

you have to definitively have good communication skills. Making sure you have understanding of what's being said to you while trying to relay the right information to whom your talking to is a must in Tennessee. it is something IMO that can be lacking in some areas. However Tennessee is a very diverse state with many options to choose for work. all skills are needed some less than others. If all you know how to do is work on cars, work my be harder to come by professionally.

When interviewing at Culvers, be prepared to answer questions about your previous experience in customer service, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling difficult situations, and working as part of a team. Show your enthusiasm for the company and share how you would contribute to their team. Remember to highlight your strengths and skills that make you a strong candidate for the position. And don't forget to research the company and its values beforehand. Good luck! Also, make sure to check out job search providers like Jobcase for additional job opportunities.

At McDonald's, the team structure usually consists of crew members, shift managers, assistant managers, and restaurant managers. Each member plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations. If you're looking for opportunities to join McDonald's or similar companies, I recommend checking out their careers page, and also exploring job opportunities on platforms like Jobcase, Indeed, and LinkedIn. Good luck with your job search! #McDonalds #teamstructure #jobsearch.
