Stay smiling, everyone :)

It's a fun place to work. But get comfortable shoes to wear because you stand, walk, and climb ladders for 7-8 hours a day with no sitting times at all. The pay is typical retail pay. As long as you have a great group of coworkers, it is a fun place to work.

There were many stressful days with the store manager that was depressed and was bi-polar. We did our best to get along with him, but sometimes he would just get unreasonable and difficult to deal with.

I absolutely loved working with the visuals!
Between the gorgeous chandeliers and the home decor accessories, the arrangement of the furniture groupings, throw pillows and faux fur throws it was just a very pleasant atmosphere to work in.
2nd favorite part was talking with the customers and helping them when they needed advice with decorating tips.

Well i am a music person so i like to think about music like singing in my head but i still focus on work and i like moving around a lot i dont think i can just stand in one place for hours but i would love to work on that and another thing i like to think about when im working is the reason i got a job to feed my family, help out more around the house, do more to help my family to live a better life.

Is there anyone hiring traditional animators or comic book artists? Or children's storybook illustrators?

I have had a tremendous varied job history over my years. Following my Masters Degree to an Apprentice Opera Singer in Santa Fe, to teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, to an Ensemble member at the Lyric Opera of Chicago to singing Opera Internationally for 17 years to again teaching at Northwestern University to now owning my own business Dinky Delights, Inc. I have followed my passion to offer the best that I can in everything I do. I have many work years ahead of me and am looking for another opportunity and challenge. As the owner/operator of a pop up Hot & Fresh Donut business for the last 8 years in the City of Chicago I am looking to share my performance, teaching and business skill set to others. I am proud of my accomplishments in my job history. I am willing to take risks and I am willing to offer my experience.

Working events is hard and challenging. When you’ve worked several days for someone, given beyond what is required, and not appreciated.
When you have given your very best, strive to make it right, satisfy the client and still go the distance with the same integrity, passion, kindness and service.
Thank you. Joyce Sato
