Did someone post about ZipRecruiter here a while back, just can't find it, & if so, did you have the same experience I am having as far as them sending me an email, saying my Resume was viewed by a job posting I applied to. Then that same day I get an email from a Fraudelant company thanking me for applying for that position and explaining to me their job requirements (which are TOTALLY ) different from the original posting, and asking for all my personal info (which I never ever do) Who knows they may even have someone on here, reading all of our posts and how we are looking for a job and will contact us with some kind of fraudulent email. I did forward those fraudulent emails to the CEO at the email I see letting them know. I'm sure they probably won't even see my email. This is sad for those people who are so vulnerable for a job, and don't know when to realize that these are scam artist preying on the vulnerability of so many desperately needing a job. What I do now is, when I see a posting from Ziprecruiter I see who the company is, be it a Job agency or company, I just google them, and go to their website under Career opportunities. Best thing to do. Just my two cents for today. Everyone have an awesome weekend.

Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to find an at home job for the last several months and boy am I surprised at the deception that I have come across. After I applied for a sales and enrollment position, I was reached by a lady that stated that she wanted me to review a script in order for her to determine whether I would be able to provide customer service. All went well, she promised to get back to me with a contract. After two weeks of waiting, she sent a W9 form and a contract. The contract mentioned several things that was not okay. I won't go into details but in all I looked at the contract and sent an email inquiring about these things. In addition, the address on the contract was a mail center in Florida. While I believe that Live University exist, I also understand that some people will take legit businesses and use them to get people personal information. Please be aware. By the way, the tone of the emails and the fact that there was no address on any of the emails sent to me was a red flag as well.

I got a call today from a gentleman from Bedrock media claiming he was representing work at home opportunities for Amazon.com. The first questions he asked me were was I at home and did I have high speed internet. Those made sense. However, the next question was about my credit card debt. He said that Amazon wants people who are financially responsible to work for them. I was OK at first, but when asked me if any of my cards were maxed out, I got uncomfortable, asked him why needed credit information, then told him I would not allow them to run a credit report on me. I also told him I thought he was a scammer and hung up the phone. Has anyone else had this experience and did it turn out to be legit or a scam? Thanks!

Has anyone ever someone ever contact you via text message say they read your resume on line and they want you to meet with another person on Google Hangouts for a job interview? Not only that, there was no voice or video throughout the whole interview process... I thought this was really strange to: 1.) Have an interview on Google Hangouts with someone I didn't even know. 2.) Having him ask me what bank I operated with. 3.) Having to give my job references. I had a talk with my family and some friends about this interview and they all mentioned this was a scam as soon as I said this person wanted to know what bank I operated with. Any thoughts on this from anyone on this forum?

Getting discouraged. Trying to find a legit job site to find a job. Now a days don't know who you can trust. Wasting time filling out all these job profiles and then find out they are scams.
