My thought you from previous experience when I worked at Price chopper and I had a manager that was Jewish. She was a very good boss. I really liked her and I respect her greatly. One thing she told me was you never supposed to bring your personal life into your job. Once you walk through the doors of that job, your personal life is behind you, so any company that’s looking at your personal stuff is basically dragging your personal life into the workplace. And that’s a no go for me and it’s unethical

I am a development professional with a strong focus in collaboration, thanks to my background in the Pharmaceutical Industry, where I worked with large teams to achieve organizational goals and satisfy requirements of medical professionals. I owe my experience with documentation and communication to auditing medical reports, and carry that attention to detail into my development work. I am pursuing roles in Frontend, or Full Stack Development.

On my background check, they weren't able to verify I started a company prior. I started a handyman business for 2 years and they asked for my w-2s which I didn't have. I was going to school during that time and took on jobs here and there. Clients didn't request a 1099 and most were paid in cash. Basically, what do you think will happen with my job offer at this new job?

Do you have a company registered in your name? I have an LLC & though I've never made enough money to claim on taxes, anyone could find the record of my company. If you didn't go through the paperwork that a real company requires, there's no way it could be tracked. So, if that's the case, I would never mention it. If you DID do the paperwork, the business plan, etc., & if your company WAS actually registered, you or they SHOULD be able to find it whether you had W2 s or not.

Create a letter for the previous clients whom you provided services for which they can print, sign and date validating that you did in fact perform the contract work.

The turnaround time is much faster if you can do this through Docusign to receive your supporting documents.

It’s important to add the range of dates you provided this contract work. Contact your previous clients first to ensure you have their approval. Also, ask your prior clients if you can add their contact information such as a phone number or email on this letter. This help with your credibility in case your new employer/HR decides the need to double check.

Hope this helps in any that I can contribute and bring value. Best of luck!

As as retired VP/Chief Pharmacy I did not. I interviewed and hired for the Pharmacy Department. We did not check/review a candidate's online activity. Simply stated....online outside work is private.

It's sad that some people that have felonies are good people just made mistakes. But yet I can't even get a job and I'm on deferred. I've been in my field for 13 + years and nobody wants to hire me because of my record. How sad there's some good hard working women and men that deserve that job Don't get it because of there background.
