Lieing to my boss to cover a mistake my co worker made

It was an accounting firm so between November and April we the worse as it was tax time.

There was a customer who needed a special report. I was just learning to do the report and I got it wrong several times. There was no one left in the home office to help me and the customer was pushing for it that day. I kept trying and explained that there was no one to help me. They complained to my boss the next day.

It was a remote position so there was a lot of flexibility.
