I have something on my heart that is weighing heavy and just need to get out. 2 months ago I became homeless. From living in a home for 7 years to living in my vehicle. I am a mother and for the first time I was not able to provide presents or even a Christmas tree. Alot of people take things for granted, as I was one, but only when something like this happens that's when you realize the small things are so valuable, like cooking a holiday meal, or cleaning your home. No one knows when hard times my fall on them but the only thing I can say never take the small things for granted, for when you lose most of everything that's when you tend to realize how valuable something really is. To each and every one of you, I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Waking up to another beautiful day i am so greatful for....Thinking positively #cherish #smile #behappy #lovelife #merrychristmas

I know, I know, not my smartest move but I needed to get the hell out of there. To say my old job was BAD is an insult to bad jobs everywhere. It was AW_FUL! I had to quit, there was NO other way and despite how many times I racked my brain to find another option, there weren’t any. I didn’t want to quit...ok I did, but I didn’t want to deal with the BS of finding another job. Job hunting is the worst. I probably wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I hadn’t looked for other jobs when I quit. Literally NO prep what so ever. One day my boss said something horrible to me and I just up and left never to return. All I could think afterwards was oh crap, now what??!! So this is what I learned and I will pass it on to folks in the same situation.
Being happy is the most important thing aka it’s not worth it working for jerks that don’t appreciate you! My stress from my past job was actually causing my hair to fall out more and more everyday from the stress level. Sometimes I even cried in my car before heading in. Yeah, not worth it.
There are ALWAYS other opportunities to seek out. Sometimes you are not right for the job OR the job is not right for you, this is NOT a bad thing. What IS bad is if you stay there and you continue to be unhappy. I learned that life is what you make of it not what you are stuck with.
How to budget my money! What I once spent on fancy lunches and things to treat myself I now save and know what is important. I even quit smoking because frankly I cannot afford cigarettes anymore and it was the best thing to not buy them. I completely forgot what it is like to go without an income and it’s pretty challenging.
Don’t lose hope friends. I am staying positive and knowing that this was the right choice for me at this time. I am happier, healthier, and while poorer I am certainly wiser.

I hated my job, my life, myself so it was time for a change. If you are unhappy simply take charge of your life because after all, it is YOURS. I learned this 1- Make things better for yourself because we only get one life to live! Take long walks, smile, laugh, spend time with your family, do the things that make YOU happy. 2- Find a job and surround yourself with people that care about you and appreciate all that you do. Remember that you work hard and deserve good things. 3- Don’t stay at a job that you hate. Yeah the $$$ may be good, but it’s just NOT worth it. Good jobs are sometimes hard to come by, but they are out there!

Happy Tuesday Jobcasers, I hope your searches and interviews are successful this week! So, finding a job that makes you happy.. Might seem like a pretty easy thing, right? Unfortunately not all the time as we often get caught up in just finding a job and not taking the time to wait for the right one. I know what you’re thinking, sometimes you just really need to get back to work and you can’t wait or take your time. I understand that completely and this may not apply to all situations but still take a look for your future job searches! Here we go: It needs to be about the people too - Sitting back and thinking about how much time you spend with your coworkers, you should know that you’ll want to work with people that you “like”. And by “like” I mean you want to find people whose company you enjoy, and who you’ll like working next to day after day. You also want these people to help you continue to be better, and that can challenge you to do your best work possible. Take your time (if you can) - When you find yourself in the midst of a job search try to take your time and do some research to make sure you are going to a company that allows you do the work you enjoy. Be confident in knowing what you want - Try to take the time, at the beginning of your search, to sit down and really determine what it is that you want and what matters the most to you. This is definitely not one-size-fits-all so make sure you create your own unique list of what your requirements. Remember, this is all about YOU - I’m sure you have people to take into consideration when you’re deciding on a job, it could be family, or commute, or the hours, etc. But don’t lose sight of this being all about you and your job. I’m not saying completely ignore the above reasons, I’m just saying make sure you’re making the best decisions for yourself and not sacrificing what you really want to do. One of my favorite quotes, or motivational sayings, is “Life isn’t a dress rehearsal” so go out there and find what makes YOU happy.
And again, I know this situation is not the same for each of you and is not a one-size-fits-all approach but I hope it at least gives some things to think about. Have a great day and good luck!
