I would always prefer an interesting position where I learn and grow, over one where the pay is especially good but very basic or easy. It would be great if you could have both!

Team Member at Taco Bell

Taco Bell offers career advancement. Good, reliable employees can become shift leaders, asst. managers and even store manager or even higher in the corporation. You get P.T.O. right from the beginning of employment. It's a great company and I stilll work for them.

Alright here goes, leased a truck with raystransport out of Warren. MI. did kinda ok as a company driver on percentage pay did that for 3months,decided to buy the truck I was driving through this company's lease program then my dispatcher started bugging me to get hazmat back on my license so he could get better paying loads, but not for me,he actually meant for the company, he just worded like it was for my benefit,I explained that it would take loss of time and revenue for me to get my hazmat endorsement back,so this bugging went on till March came around, so I broke down gave into the bugging made arrangements to get that done,I didn't expect it to take 7days days to get this done, but it did,it took 3 trys to pass the hazmat written test and I had to come back each day to try again, texas rules not mine, finally passed it on a Friday, then had to pay for a back ground check and finger printing done, the earliest appointment I could get was following Monday, so now dispatcher is getting upset cause I'm not making any revenue for them, they are foreigners and they don't understand how hard it is to get haz put back on license or long the background takes after all this is the government we're working with, so I finally get that part out of the way,now they are getting more upset, took a load offer for back up to Michigan miss judged the fort worth and dallas traffic so that made me late and caused a big fiasco now they are really pist, finally got rid of that load,so here's how they treat me over all this, every load assignment I took with the disputes of delivery times I couldn't make, along with being told that was all they could find for a load or sit, they said they would fix delivery time but never did, so every load thru the rest of March they purposely burned me on over pickup time and delivery time, and kept giving me same excuses that was all they could find for a load,so now I get a complaint from terminal manager about my performance on pickup and delivery and how much I'm making in revenue, I told him I didn't have any control over that, talk to the dispatcher you forced me to work with, but he didn't believe me cause my dispatcher was training a rookie and both of them were covering each other's back while throwing me under the bus to the terminal manager and starving me for revenue, so I decided to quit and deadhead home empty 1000 miles to clean out my truck oh boy did that royally pist the terminal manager off cause I would let him route me back straight to terminal I stead, cause I knew he was planning to terminate my contract and leave me stranded with no way to get my stuff home,so I got home got my stuff out and then got a load and ended up running for free like I knew this crook would make me do,but I got the truck back back to terminal and jumped on a plane back home, so this guy accused me of unplugging the e.l.d.logging device and charged me 2500 bucks against my settlement when actually what I did was drove my first 11 hrs out legally and then stopped logged off-duty and noted on off-duty line, not under dispatched load, empty deadhead home,p.c.,eventho he purposely turned off my p.c. but I continued going home so when I continued driving e.l.d. device automatically went back to drive and I let it stay that way and drove rest of way home like that, and you can legally do that according to d.o.t.regulations,wether your an owner op or lease purchase contract, and no contract or company policy supercedes federal or state laws and regulations which I did not violate,so now I'm dealing with blackballing issues and nobody else will give me a driving job cause of raystransport slandering my character and reputation as a driver so they could make what they did to me over the past two months of this March of 2022 and all of this April of 2022 and I'm still trying to get back on the road, small companies like this are more vindictive than bigger companies if they don't get their way and come out on top,so to get even they make up lies and black ball you from the trucking industry, so if anyone nows how to beat this or has experienced this, let me know what you did to get back to work for another trucking company

Inbound Agent at Urs

I haven’t worked there since 2006 but when I did the benefits were excellent. They had health, dental, and vision. Along with short term disability and 401k. Plus the bonus potential was amazing.

I wish my job @ #Southwestern Wire Company had...

Southwestern Wire was a great place to work. Good pay and benefits, family atmosphere, profit sharing. It can be hard work but the management makes it worthwhile. I retired from SW Wire in 2013.
