Jobcase, Inc. is observing #juneteenth today. We wish you a day of enlightenment as we all pause to consider racial inequities that continue these 157 years since Texas got on board w the emancipation proclamation. Yes solemnly celebrate the ending of our original sin of slavery, but moreso let’s pause this day to educate ourselves on history and think what we can do to make things better today.

7:30 AM We are off to the State House in Boston, Massachusetts’s. We arrive at 8:40 AM and find parking. We park and walk to the rally. Time to find out what role I we will play? We are assigned go Lead Way! Lead Way is a term that means lead the political speakers to the front of the rally to speak! #workfromhome #coronavirus #healthcare #jobsearch #application #BLM

July 20, 2020 A Day in my Shoes!
My day started at 5:00 AM waking up and preparing for a busy schedule. 5:10 AM Coffee Made and check my messages to see if any surprises arise? First cup of coffee and shower time. Check my email to see where I am needed for the event. Call's to be made, pick up staff and make sure Essential Black Live Worker’s Event is going smoothly? Leave the house at 6:15 AM. Heading to pick up the first person my union organizer Lisa, she tells me she is running late. Skip her house and go to the second house. Arlene my Co-Delegate.6:40 AM arrived and she tells me Cathy can’t get the day off. I tell her not to worry and head to Marcus’s house. Arlene on the way tells me he isn’t answering the phone. I call still no answer. Guess we have to cover his spot? Arrive at his house to pick him up, it’s 7:05 AM. Lisa call’s asking where are we? I tell her on our way to her house. By the way it starts to pouring rain. #1199 #Work #Union #BLM #BlackLifeMatters

I worked here for about 3 months in the 3 months I worked 6 days a week some times 7 I would pull doubles and my staff loved me. I was so committed to this job that even when my father past on the the 19th of March I still didn’t request time off because the GM (Rony) needed the help. I then was coming up on the end of my 90 days (4 days shy of it) and I was fired because I wasn’t a “good fit”. I’m not sure someone who knows every door dasher by name and is there 6 days a week could be “not a good fit”. The day prior to being let go me and the GM (Rony) got into a disagreement because he looked out the back door and claimed “the Seattle riots are starting” I then being the other manager on shift looked as well and came to realize he was stereotyping the 3-5 African American men standing outside their cars talking. I then also realized one of them works for the jimmy johns next door. I then said that it was disgusting that he seen a group of black men and IMMEDIATELY had everyone exit out stores and locked the doors because the “riots” there was also 2 police cars parked right there not worried about these young men. #BLM
