After years of my family trying to get me to move out of NY I'm finally thinking of doing it. However i cant make any kind of move unless i know i can get a job and how much i can get paid doing it. Ive send my resume with a cover letter asking if someone could tell me how much i could make down there and not one person has reached out. Im an automotive bookkeeper for 20yrs. Unfortunately its considered a specialty and other bookkeeper positions usually dont consider it 'real' bookkeeping so they normally want to start you out as if you have no experience. (Atleaat here in NY) how else can i find out what i could make down there.

Stay on your toes. Keep your mind 100% focused on your work and what is going on around you. Communication amongst staff was lacking whenever I was an employee there, so be sure to keep comunication as a priority. There is mostly family members that are employees and politics usually came up a lot. DO NOT ENGAGE. My assumption is since they are mostly family, the arguments are sometimes pretty fierce. I was always taught to never discuss politics or religion at the work place or with the general public
The key is, always stay aware of your work and what's going on around you. There's a lot of "chiefs" and not enough "indians" and with the lack of communication things can get pretty hectic as far as knowing which assignment from each boss should be a priority.
