Save and sustain the local music scene! A new non-profit is launching the first week in January to Sustain the local music scene in #LosAngeles. Looks like they'll be helping with merchandise, virtual experiences, and more.

I don't know about you but I really miss live music and discovering new musical talent...

of course I miss this. I really missed the atmosphere of live concerts and probably the first thing I will do after the quarantine is over is to go to a rock concert of my favorite band. The quarantine period turned out to be very productive for me in terms of creating and promoting music. I use the SoundCloud platform to promote my music and on the page https://www.fashiongonerogue.com/here-3-ways-how-make-money-soundcloud/ I found very interesting information about how you can not only promote your music but also monetize it using this platform. The fact is that the SoundCloud platform has over 175 million monthly users, it is the most popular and most useful platform for musicians, and which helps them grow and promote their music. You can monetize your creativity through the On SoundCloud affiliate program, which allows you to make money from any music you download through paid advertising.

Absolutely, the absence of live, local music since COVID has left a gaping hole in many of our lives. The energy, community, and raw emotion of experiencing music together is irreplaceable. While streaming services and online concerts have helped bridge the gap, they lack the spontaneity and shared connection that comes from being physically present in the same space as the artist and fellow music lovers. The hushed anticipation before the first note, the collective roar of the crowd, the way a shared melody can bind strangers together http://4d4m.com/ – these are the things that truly make live music special. It's no wonder so many of us miss it dearly. But as the world cautiously reopens, there's hope that the melody will rise again, and we can once again fill the void with the joyful noise of live music.

It looks like southern #California has received their first vaccine shipment and plan to begin administering shots on Wednesday to healthcare workers. Thought I'd share a little bit of good news. #LosAngeles #coronavirusLosAngeles #coronavirus

#California announces a public roll out of a contact tracing app that notifies you when your phone has been in proximity to another user/phone who tested positive for #coronavirus .

While people have the choice to opt in by downloading the app, I'm very curious to know what people think of this technology.

Why not write a red P on their foreheads because not everyone has a smart phone to intrude on other people and their health. Merry Christmas anyway Kai,Ford

Latin and Black communities in LA are now disproportionately impacted by #Coronavirus. I couldn't agree more with LA County Public Health Director, Barbara Ferrer on this one:

"Those on the frontlines keeping healthcare facilities open, transportation and energy systems working and making sure that we are safe ought not to be asked, once again, to bear the brunt of rampant community transmission,” - B. Ferrer

What do you think?

Yikes - it looks like SoCal Ed had to drop power to a bunch of LA area residents... Hope folks stay safe out there. #LosAngeles #California

Parents sued #LosAngeles Unified School Department back in September, and now there's another law suit from Community Coalition, out of south L.A., with community partners like Oakland REACH in suing #California state education official for failing to educate minority and low income students.

I don't think there's an easy solution, but it doesn't seem right that public schools expect students who don't have internet service to access their online education. What do you think?
