Good Evening, I interviewed with the CEO of a Caregiver agency, completed a five-part interview process and started with orientation prior to the holiday. I was extremely upfront with this man to ensure no surprises and was given an offer. Last week I was asked to come in to the office to review my experience. I was not given a chance to do anything and I just received a call telling me they do not see me as a fit.
Can I submit for unemployment benefits? Or is a few weeks too little time? I am still reeling from the prior caregiver agency and was very head strong in thinking I would secure a position and when this offer came I viewed this to be a good fit. The hypothetical client examples provided by the company were not nearly as difficult in comparison to the four years of real hands-on experience I had with handicapped and special needs clients (a very challenging client base). I can learn anything and all the information provided on their website offered training so working for them appeared to be a good opportunity. Can I submit for unemployment benefits after a short time. They have truly blindsided me and I have no way to be okay. If the time frame is too short. Is it too late to submit for the prior agency? End of September. The clients were wanting assistance and I was without knowledge regarding non-compete clauses. I placed clients ahead of myself and now I am truly struggling beyond. Between watching Sears disappear from the country and now this... Insights, suggestions, guidance. Factual suggestions, please. Thank You.

I would like to advise them to show possitive attitude always,Handles them with care because they are very fragile,,to be friendly, kind, open, honest, empathy, observent, slow to anger, never beat or shout to them because they got scared easily.

I have worked almost every position for a Young adult. Dietician, server, fast food, retail, Caregiver, sales, and NO ONE will hire me!!! I’ve been to 10 job interviews in the past two months and EVERYONE has turned me down. It’s getting fustrating! I don’t know what to do! And each previous job I’ve had for 1year +. It’s not like I worked at a new job every month btw. I feel I have had no luck !

To focus on client needs first then start multitasking. Ask questions if unsure what they want or expect of you . Always put clients personal needs a first priority before doing any other task .
