Well I can’t tell anyone anything like that anymore because Retail Brand Alliance owned Casual Corner and they have closed all the stores but if it was still open I would say and did say to people that it was a great place to work if you put forth effort to do what was expected of you.

The biggest mistake I made was allowing an associate to use her boyfriends debit card when making an employee purchase. We had all been told by the previous manger that it was ok, so I allowed it when I was manager. I got called on the carpet by the security manager. He somewhat understood it when it was explained to him.

The most stressful days to me were the day before a regional manger was coming to the store. We always worked really hard to make sure the store was perfect. The night before the visit I had had two young men mop and wax the floor in the store room and bathroom. Upon arriving at work that morning I discovered That the wax I had them put down would not get dry and when you walked on it your feet would stick to the floor. It was too late to correct the problem. The regional manager extended me mercy and did not mention the sticky floor.

I do not remember a customer getting mad at me. We bent over backwards to make sure they were always happy. There was a young lady that started working there and I’m not sure why but she didn’t like me and she would do everything she could to make me miserable. I think other than that she was a very good worker. One day I had, had enough so I said I want us to sat down and work our way through the problem. When the talk was over we both understood the other one better and ended up becoming very good friends.

I loved almost everything about the job but the thing I liked most was competing with myself to improve my sales. We had 3 or categories of sales for the month, quarter or yearly. The highest rating was called ER. I always rated a ER. I love, love ,loved the selling part of the job. Saturday’s were the best days because I could help 4 to 5 people in the dressing room at once. That was just glorious!!
