Things change fast and keeping up is critical. Your employer's need for you extends only as far as what you can do for them. If your position is product related a market downturn could mean you're suddenly looking for work. It's best to be prepared. In addition to keeping current with the latest developments in your chosen profession, also consider keeping at least one training effort open all the time that you can work with day by day. Over time, you can build up an impressive library of credentials and although these may not keep you employed with a company having product difficulties they will definitely help you startup with the next one.

Jobseeker Hi , been looking for a job in California. Im 25 ,also RN here in philippines but I didn't had a chance to work in a hospital. I just had 5 months work as a PDN (private duty nurse) and now I'm a medical coder for almost 2years 7months in a private company. I search for California RN but there's a lot of requirements like need to had NCLEX,Experience or need to study in california to meet requirements for that state. So I push my medical coding career and will work in San Diego or L.A or Orange etc. Because as per my career most of our client's in State is California and Do I have a chance to work in cali as medical coder/ biller?

Well I had the interview today. Everything went well at the interview, I had the job and still feel as though I have the job it is just steps for me to take to pursue the job. The company give you your temporary license and then studys with you to get your permanent license. But unfortunately I have already had my temporary license and didnt know it. So now in order for me to work for the company I have to pursue my license on my own, and thats what I am going to do. So just wish me well and I thank everyone for their support and encouraging words.

If you would have asked me about my career prospects upon graduation from high school, it would have probably involved something related to the food and beverage/hospitality industry. After traveling to Cali, Colombia for a month after my Birthday in May 2016, I also traveled to Medellin and Bogota, and fell in love with the hard-working yet stress free culture of Colombia. I met many ex-pats who were living and working in Colombia in work exchanges or as full-fledged citizens in the TEFL/TESL (teaching English as a foreign or second language) comminity. Being a native-English speaker is a huge advantage in South America without any certification, but I decided to go a step further and pursue a Cambridge CELTA certification to strengthen my current skill set. I have been teaching private EFL/ESL classes to individual, group, and local busines staff since October 2016 in the greater-Miami area

I recently graduated from Phlebotomy training and have my NHA certification. But I can’t find a job because they all want experience. The old story, how are you to get experience if you can’t find a job? Any ideas or suggestions?
