Good comments but I do not agree with making a resume ats compliant. If you expect to put your resume in a big computer system and get a job your chances are as good as the lotto. Every resume needs to be tailored to the specific job and delivered to the person you will be working for. This approach requires research knowledge and opportunity.

You went to the Chicago job fair, you apply for what seems like a great job, you go the interview. Remember, an interview should always be a two-way conversation. By asking the interviewer your own questions, that's how you get a sneak peak of what the job is like, and whether it's truly right for you.

So, what questions can you ask during an interview?

  • 📅 What would my workplace goals be during the first month?
  • 🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏾 How big is the team that I’d be working with?
  • 👨‍💻 What can you tell me about the work environment?
  • 🪜 Is there a pathway for career progression?
  • 😓 What are some of the challenges you think a new employee will face?

There are much more ideas for questions on The top 25 questions to ask interviewers

You came to the job fair, you were prepared with your resume, you talked to people and applied to a few opportunities. Now would be the time for follow up with a hiring manager about that job.
