Drama at #GeneralCable/PrysmianGroup

My job was credit card Management and a fellow was angry as he had received a substantial late fee because he didnt understand why as he had filed all his expenses. i listened to him and sympathized and then walked him thru his expense reports and pointed out those expenses that were filed late which means he had forgotten to follow the credit card policy. I reminded him in a friendly way that he should make sure to reconcile his expenses to his monthly card statement to make sure he files everything in a timely manner and avoids the late fees. He was calming down and realized it was his fault and apologized for his behavior. I told him I was glad to help figure out what happened and he was welcome to ask me anytime he had questions. The fellow did ask me a few times for advice over the years but he never received a late fee after that!

I felt I was a member of the team and the positions I held in particular were Commission Analyst for outside sales agencies and then Credit Card Management for North America and helping the associates resolve problems and explaining the travel policy and answer questions about the online expense tool called Concur. I was able to establish relationships with the associates of all levels and I was very glad to be able to help them in a friendly manner.

Before my interview at #GeneralCable/PrysmianGroup I wish I knew...

I Interviewed and was hired 25 years ago but i wish I had already received a college degree prior to that time so I could provide a broader range of knowledge and be suitable for more positions. General Cable is a great place to work and they provided college tuition which I was grateful for and I did take advantage of it but I was unable to complete the degree at that time for family issues. I was given interesting positions and I worked hard to prove myself. I loved my positions! Now I have registered to go back to college online and finally get my Management Degree without disrupting a new position and I am excited to finish this long awaited goal of mine. Keep me in your prayers!
