3 yrs. ago, I've moved from Saint Louis, Missouri, to Dallas, Texas. In all, I thought everything would go great but it hasn't. I've put my faith in God, to see a better change. Everything is going down hill. I've started my own small business last year called, Wilson's Unique Cleaning Services, last year. No such luck in finding clients to work for. Recently, I've paid a $1,000 to be a sub contractor with Delta Janitorial. I thought it would be a great way to get my name out there, but after all the talk about, I'll make over $10,000, pulling in contracts was bogus. They will give you a contract that's worth $450 to a $1,000 monthly, pay YOU a percentage, and take out marketing fees, on what you gross monthly from a contract. The contract alone is $435 monthly. How in the world will you pay me monthly off $435, plus pay a marketing fee? What is there left for me. Right now, I'm looking for work, just to manage paying bills, on top of child support, which is very behind. I feel like giving up. What is there to do????

Does anyone know of a company that contracts independent agents in Oregon
I worked for LiveOps for 6 years when I was in Arizona but when I moved to Oregon they told me that they do not contract agents in Oregon so I lost my income from home. I took calls for infomercials at 10 cents per minute plus commissions and I did very well. If anyone knows of an opportunity similar to this please let me know. The ones I have found are either scams or they also do not contract agents in Oregon.

Over the years I have been employed, worked as a contractor, moved away from a good job at the request of the now ex as he needed to go home (it was good for the children but a financial disaster), worked again as a contractor and again as an employee. now I find myself in So Cal and again looking for employment. Ah the days of sticking it out and having a pension are so gone.

I am becoming very discouraged with this new experience I recently embarked on. I gave up a full time position because a travel agency had made a claim that I would make more money and get to work the hours I wanted. I traveled four hours to my first contract only two he sent packing on my second day. The facility said I was no longer going to fit their needs and they severed the contract. The worst part about it the agency did nothing to fight for me. Was this a normal occurrence?

Nothing. It was one lie after another about how things work. Even after 6 months, your still never told if you will stay contracted or a McKesson employee. They just want to keep adding more and more duties without making you an employee. I guess it's easier to firer someone who is contracted. Rep's lie all the time to patients about not being eligible. They don't take the time to read the screen or ask the right questions. And to many times they offer no additional information on support.

It's a cool place to work long as they have contracts they have plenty of work to be done.

I have been for an Interview through a Recruitment company. The client interviewed me and all went well. I was informed a a day or so later by the Recruitment that the Client is offering me the position but is busy at the moment and will draw up the contract which I will get in beginning July. I went for the Interview mid June. I was excited. While waiting for the contract in June I was offered another potentional job but I declined it as I knew I have a job and i am just waiting for the contract. Now after weeks of waiting still to get a contract and still are promised one and to hear when is my Start date with the company, I want know what law is there to help me claiming from this Client for loss of Income. He igonores calls from Recruitment and also at times replies to say I do have the job. Now the last week and bit he ignores completely all emails and smss and call from Recruitment. Meantime I am in the dark and declines other job offers. Please assist.

I currently work for a contractor who delivers the amazon packages from warehouse to warehouse. The website that I know of that has jobs posted for the warehouse positions is www.ftworknow.com It showed 2 pages of positions, I personally don't deal with a lot of the employees but the ones I do see and talk to are fairly happy. Decent wage and insurance from day one. Good luck in your hunting and hope it will help someone.

Been waiting for months now, applied to several jobs, but most when interviewed wanted to know why I left security after 17 years. Now I start Monday as a contractor in the Disney Store contact center! Been unemployed since March. Happy to be restarting work in a new career path.

I was the estate manager, it was a contract I enjoyed working in the estate
