Today, I walked in and said “woof I’m exhausted.”
Came back to my desk after a meeting to this… thank you @Yiming Shuang #coworker #workhelp

I used to work at a shop where they sold 🍫Halloween candy, and it went on sale every Nov 1st. I always had a sugar hangover by then, but one #coworker refused to buy candy until is was half price.

What's your favorite Halloween candy and what do you think about candy at work?

  • a) eat it until you can't eat it anymore (and thanks to all the coworkers out there who share)
  • b) wait until it's half price in November!
  • c) I'm a Halloween enthusiast but don't do candy
  • d) too expensive any time of year
  • e) you have a another work story you want to share that has nothing to do with candy

Some people say having friends/relationships with people at work is critical to your success and some people think you're sucking up. Should we have work friends?

I worked a shop where we'd go out and bike and bowl and stuff with our store manager. I didn't really like him, but thought I had to (because everyone else did.)

I might pick Tim McGraw because when people heckled him at work, he just stopped the show and dealt with it. I like that. #aboutmyjob #coworker #watercooler

I think we can all agree that if we had at least one coworker or even better a manager like this we would be more engaged with our jobs. Have you ever had a coworker like this little student has in his class?

Well this guy took 15 YEARS off of work and still collected a paycheck.
I thought it was annoying when my old coworker came in 10 minutes late EVERY shift and still got paid for the full hour. #coworker #aboutmyjob #watercooler

I am looking for a full time job as a Supervisor

When I worked in California some girls got special attention and perks for not even doing their work daily.

It would not be worth your time at this time. While I worked at Shop Rite I was harassed continuously by an old black man that worked there for years after I reported his sleazy self to management they covered up for him and enabled him to screw with me. I was them retaliated against by all members of management being written up numerous times, being verbally disrespected to my face and behind my back, I had my hours cut, they switched my shift and refused to give me my original shift back then they finally fired me. I reported them to CHRO and the real investigation begins, I am going to clean up the store so that future employees will have a fair and equal employment opportunity free from harassment, retaliation, and favoritism.

So I have been working this job that I love. I love working with patients in any and all capacity. But there is this one person on the job,not even an employee, but a contract, who really gets on my nerves. She has hollered at me several times, and I told her several times not to. She talks about her imaginary man allllllll day long. This man wants her, that man wants her! It is quite annoying, and her demeanor makes me think she is a dike. Not that I have anything against gay people, but her demeanor really makes me want to f'"^ her up,but I know violence isn't the answer. I have tried being civi, ignoring her, etc. But she just won't quit? I am at my witts end,and I am determined she is not going to trick me into getting fired!

Thing is, I really can't write a letter of recommendation for her in good conscience. Is there a good, generic way to word it? I hate that she has been out of work as long as she has. We were both let go in 2012, which means she has been unemployed for almost 5 years. I want to help her but if she gets back to her old tricks, I'm afraid that company will wonder what on Earth I was thinking!

I have a question to throw out there...... How would you handle a co-worker that thinks she's your boss?? I've began to basically ignore her. I work through a temp agency where I am, so I'm looking for something else but just wondered what some of you out there would handle this?
