I got to meet a lot of people, some young, some old. I worked with a lot of older patients even in their 90's who needed proof of their name on their school record in order to satisfy medicare, medicaid, and social security. I learned to work with armed servives representatives needing student records in order to admit them to their ranks. I learned to work with Federal representatives needing information for future employees. I did research on Craven County Schools back to 1904 when our schools started in order to be able to search for old records. I used a lot of books and old minutes to work up a draft of Craven County Schools from 1904 until 2014.
