I believe more employees need give felony offenders a better chance to be able redeem their self's in the workforce one mistake in life shouldn't last forever we need chance prove ourselfs I've learned exoffenders make better choices and work harder trying to prove their self for others

I went to an interview and today I received a call from the agency that I was made an offer by the company. I responded back that yes I indeed wanted to proceed and take the offer. I was sent paper work for a new hire to fill out for the agency and I will have to submit to a background check which is pretty common everywhere I know. The situation is that I do have a felony on my record and I worried that even though I was made a offer and giving a start date that once I agree to the background check that I might lose the opportunity. Usually I am asked to submit to a check along with filling out paperwork before an agency even decides to represent me so should I worry that I could lose the offer that has already been made to me once a check is run? I really want this position. I really need this position, for my family. Thank you in advance for anybodies responses, replies, and advice.

When society suppress you, keep your head up and keep going. I was accused and convicted of robbery, I have had zero luck in finding employment. I eventually landed a job at a fast food restaurant. I did not care for the work, but I made the best of it. When I finally decided to let it go, I enrolled at Ashford university, earned two Bachelor Degrees, and have two more courses to earn my MBA with two specializations. I still have not been able to gain employment, but I refuse to let one million No's stop me.

I was fired from my job of nearly 18 years after borrowing money from a tenant i served. This was against company policy. Since then the tenant pressed charges accusing me of stealing. I interviewed for a similar position with a different company and felt good about the possibility of being hired but i never received a call. When i did my own background check, nothing came up. When I applied with another company, the court case showed i had a pending case for "deceitful practices". I was found not guilty. I wont be able to have the case expunge until June 2018. Should i continue to apply for jobs and let them tell me there is something on my background check, should i wait until i further along in the interview process or should i wait until after my record is clear before applying for types of jobs i desire?

My felony was in 2005. I paid restitution and fulfilled my 6 years of probation. I had an inventory job for a little over 9 years but was fired

Hello community, happy holidays. I'm sorry but I am going to have to say that I have never been so frustrated in my life. I really figured that I would have landed a job by now. I have been applying to many jobs, I have come into many stumbling blocks with the online application process. I go to a job I want to apply to, and then it takes me to like indeed, Snagajob. I also have a felony on my record. I am not a bad person I made a mistake in my life. In fact, if you want to get technical I had a possession under a gram charge. I chose to cope with my problems like most of Americans still continue to do nowadays. I changed my life, got the finger out of my butt, and decided to you take a really deep look into my life. My priorities are change now and they are just very different considering I have a child. I also do you not want to waste my life anymore with drugs. I feel like I wasted a lot of time, using them to cope with problems. Even though I have a possession under a gram, I tell the truth, I have background experience, in fact almost 10 years at one job. I don't feel like I'm trying to apply to jobs where they are unreasonable. I choose invalid places that I feel I can get hired to. I mean I speak 3 languages, I have many tificate, I know how to use many software's and sadly I feel like because of a past mistake I made in the past, I'm going to be struggling. Only because I know how to make fast money, and I choose not to practice old Behavior. Meaning getting money in illegal gain. I live in Lago Vista which is 20 miles from Austin Texas, if there any job Seekers out there from my town I would love to know if there is any places you would suggest for me to go and apply oh, I would be eternally indebted. I'm old-fashioned, and a hard worker. I just need a chance.
